But more importantly, isn't going after the lowest of the low hanging fruit, the laziest of lazy, and the most egregiously bad play still important? I mean, I think every competent Eve player recognizes how much safety CCP has given highsec players, and how little you have to do to essentially be perfectly safe. If players insist on falling below that bar, isn't it still important to have player-enforced consequences find them on occasion and remind them this is a competitive MMO? I am sure their competitors who do take the time and spend the effort to stay safe would think so.

Despite what you may think or CCP implies, highsec is still rife with bots mining in many systems, and AFK hauling is still a plague given how little risk there is to freighters and DSTs who keep their cargos within non-profitable to gank limits. The New Order still is the only opposition to these players. While Miniluv does a great public service enforcing consequences on the greedy, it is only the New Order of Highsec that at all allows Eve Online to pay lip service to the idea that you are at real risk everywhere.

I think that is still very beneficial to the game.

Because it's harder to go after bots than the "low hanging fruit" (as you put it) and because I think they enjoy tears and salt way more than killing ships (and since bots don't give either...). You make it sound as though CODE and Miniluv are performing a community service when it's the exact opposite. They gank anyone (including and especially new players), and I've never (ever) heard of them reimbursing a new player's ship. So in actuality, they're probably driving more players from the game than they are attracting to it...

Beneficial indeed...

this is true, I have seen them mess with new players in their ventures or those that just got a proc so they can mine their way into combat ships while training combat skills.

Delighted to make your acquaintance, Agondray (though why you added the letters 'dra' to your name does mystify me).

Anyway, let me translate this comment of yours:

"I've seen them engage in PvP with new players in Ventures"

"I've seen them tackle more experienced players in Procurers"

There; I think that covers it. Nothing to see really, is there?

1. Ventures are cheap even for new players ( free if you do the tutorials)...Learning about suicide ganking for "free" is a valuable lesson in Eve reality. The long term benefit outweighs the temporary irritation, this is a public service of some importance.

2. If a player is mining their way into combat ships while training combat skills they are going to need to know about combat.Blink Getting ganked constitutes first- hand combat experience, experience is the best teacher = CODE are teachers... buy' em an apple and move on.

You have much to learn, Grasshopper.

In your current state, you are trying to survey the mountain top from the base of an abyss. In order to ascend, you will need guidance, faith, and determination.

Reading The Code should do it.

Your eyes deceive you, do not trust them. OMMMMMM, I am already there, Yes, I'm an Alpha, and forevermore shall be. I have been around for a long time, many, many years before you.

So as for the guidance, faith, and determination . . . really thanks, but I'm good. I laugh at the superior intellect.

Highsec is worth fighting for.

By choosing to mine in New Order systems, highsec miners have agreed to follow the New Halaima Code of Conduct.  www.minerbumping.com

I did not lie. And now you have made two mistakes. So much for your power.

Of course you lied. You can't reconcile these two statements in any other conventional way:

See, you don't get to play the adorable new player and the bitter vet who claims some moral authority from being in the game longer than another player in the same thread. It is quite obvious and jarring when someone tries to wear both hats. You should at least do what most other dishonest forum trolls do and use different forum alts for such games. Groom one to be the bright-eyed newbro to make surprisingly insightful yet innocent remarks on the game, and another to be the 10 year+ grizzled veteran who is inherently better and whose views have more weight than the other players because of the time he put in. You can even use a newer character for the veteran persona and claim it is a forum alt so you don't even have to have a character with a verifiable birth date.

Take some pride in your craft man, and spend some effort on your forum games. That's what a true Eve player would do.

You need to read the CODE.

If you are mining in a wormhole, CODE. would applaud you. By doing so, you are already compliant and they aren't interested in you.

This stuff isn't difficult to understand. Even highsec miners can understand it. Surely a wormhole miner can too.

my alts mine in highsec sometimes two code's failed to kill a retreiver, a retreiver with no tank with a catalyst and a thrasher now thats really sad.

Pedro, you assume too much. All I said was that Doris is a noob. Insinuating that a child could see that code doesn't own highsec.

Sansha assumed a superior position by calling me grasshopper implying I didn't know anything in my current state.

It is hard to tell bs from fact on these silly forums, but he allowed himself to be deceived. I replied with not wanting to hear the holier than thou stuff.

So, I deceived him, maybe I set him up, but you say if I'm going to be dishonest on the forums, here's how to do it. Seems like mixed messages. And I'm being called a liar? Welcome to EVE. Thanks for going thru all that trouble in writing your reply, an effort in futility. I wanted to see they guys answer, but now it's pointless thru your intervention.

This all doesn't matter for anything. EVE is a game. Playing on the forums is a game too, there are no rules here. The majority of "true" EVE players don't play any silly forum games.

Yes, this forum is an extension of the game.
Yes, there are rules here.

Yes, this place has changed EVE many, many times over.

Your forum skills are weak.
Just as ingame, you must invest time and effort to know how/be able to run the content.

This is a PvP sector. Make no mistake about that.

We have Titans here, as well as Frigates running point.
We have tank, dps, EWAR, logi and command burst fits.
We have allies, enemies and neutrals.
We have OPSEC, we have scouting, we have hotdrops.

Its all here, just as much as ingame.

This is not a "silly place" (like Camelot, which is a silly place), this is just as real as EVE.

Hi Doris, please define a "true" (or did you mean true?) EVE player for us; and differentiate such a player sufficiently clearly from any of your recent co-commentators to convince us that posting on the forums with our in-game EVE Main is incompatible with our bearing such a title.

Thank you. Now I'm just off to brew a cup of afternoon tea; I'll keep the page open to be sure not to miss your precise and overwhelmingly convincing response.

O, and the name's Sasha, but hey, Sansha/Sasha, it's easy to mix them up - and I've been called worse, no doubt.

Maybe, but just maybe, someone would take you for serious if you would start with something like a reasonable point instead of repeating the same butthurt drivel all over this forum. On the other hand, I find your "hey look, I'm the clown with the sore butt" performance quite funny, all your tears of impotent rage, ah, so crisp, so refreshing.
