Tethered Mission Items and Drop Boxes

I think that missions need to be upgraded so that certain ships and drop boxes would be tethered to a station that would need a special hacking module to hack the station to turn the tether off. The hacking game would be similar to the relic and date hacks could result in mission failure.

Also hacking a tethered station to release the modules might also un-tether NPC ships that are tethered to the station as well.

I also think that at some Combat Sites that tethered drop boxes would also need to be present as well to increase the overall fun of engaging such sites.

Random drop boxes tethered to NPC small mobile tether depots would increase the fun of exploration. Small Mobile Tether Depots would be found in similar locations where the NPC Mining Fleets are located. Once the hack began the Capsuleer would have an amount of time to hack the tether and release the drop box before the NPC Defense Fleet arrived.

Random NPC Tether Depots would also be found all across New Eden.

Anything from scraps to BPO's could be found in the drop boxes or nothing at all. The more likely the Tether Depot contains a valuable item the more likely it would have to be scanned down using probes. The more valuable the item tethered to the depot also means the NPC Defense Fleet will be more deadly.

There are a handful of missions that do require a salvager or data analyzer, but they're the exception rather than the rule (and typically found in storyline missions or epic arcs).

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.
