Alpha, Omega, ... Deltas?

Edit:
Since starting this thread I have learned about Plex and it's availability on the market.
No need for a delta class as far as i'm concerned.
in short, if you read this post then you are wasting your time.

I had a thought.
And i figured i'd post up about my thought before it got lonely and died:

There is Alpha - the free steam users.
There is Omega - the subscription payers.

Eve should consider at Delta clone class.
The way a beta clone class would work is
step 1 - agree to be a Delta clone class in your account settings.
step 2 - every 20, 30, or 60 minuites you get logged out of your game automaticly.
step 3 - every time you log in, you must watch an advertisement video.

The trade:
Deltas can buy/use items that Alpha's can't, but not qutie as much as the Omegas.

Why Eve should consider this:
There are many of us that don't have either enough time or money to make the subscription price practical or affordable.
EVE could still profit from us through ad partnerships, but the paying Omega customers would be spared the pain of having
to watch FORD automotive, Charmin toilet paper, or Monostat Seven commercials every time they log in.
Essentialy, it's an alternative method of payment - pay via ad viewing.

You wouldn't lose the Alpha population from add "annoyance syndrome" because Delta has to be sign-up instead of sign-down.
(and many omegas with their omega-only weapons and ships enjoy taking pop shots at the weak Alphas that stray into low-sec zones)

Please elaborate on your view, Nicolai. Why are you against this? you wouldn't have to sit though the annoying ads.
I would.

This would be a waste of developers time. The few people dumb enough to try it would hate it.

No from me.

It would provide more income for developers to help their profits and re-invest in new content.
it's another way for eve to increase their funds without decreasing the experience quality of exsisting subscribers.

No, but maybe have an 'ad opt-in' possibility to gain ingame ISK and get an ad on login with 10 second skip button. For those people liking to make a coffee before playing the game.

I think it has some potential as the basis for a comedy skit at Fanfest.

You're 3 weeks too early for April fools.

When you don't know the difference between there, their, and they're, you come across as being so uneducated that your viewpoint can be safely dismissed. The literate is unlikely to learn much from the illiterate.

Isk is no good if you can't buy anything but "Almost Crappy" items and ships as an Alpha.

This is an absolutely disgusting idea. If you can't afford $9.95 a month you either need to start pulling in tons of plex, or drop like a steak off of your grocery list

Actualy, i spend all my money taking care of my elderly geriatric parents instead of putting them in a home or encouraging them to die faster.

It should advertise an Office 365 subscription.

Owait, Windows 10 already does that. Never mind.

Hahahaha @ Shallanna Yassavi

Wolfgang Jannesen , i just looked up what plex is. I didn't know that it was something that could be found on the market.
A simple "Hey, rookie, check out plex" would of been appreciated.

Depends on what you need to do. Alpha clone is like a 'try it out'. Kinda like at the car sales you ask for a test drive. But they don't allow you to do your groceries, pick up uber clients and other stuff due to common sense. Get your parnets in a car and driver for uber, grind $120 and have a year of EVE. Maybe skip a burger a week? I dunno, maybe get help on managing your financials before you wreck a business' financial system that is working fine?

Also please elaborate because 10 years ago I flew all those "almost crappy" ships with "almost crappy" skills and HAD TO PAY FOR IT. Yes, you can TRY OUT the game infinitely but can't run around in mid-game and end-game ships. Nothing prevents you from staying in the same area and doing EXACTLY the same but with limited ISK profit.

Since i learned about Plex and it's availability on the market, Aedaxus, i see there is no need for a Delta.
And if getting revenue from advertising to a willing audiance would "Wreck" Eve's fincancial plans then you must think they are in a poor state of affairs.

Ok, good to hear. And I like you, just didn't like the Delta idea.

Hold on here, your saying that in the middle of shooting someone everything cuts off and you have to hear "Don't squeeze the Charmin" and then you get back from your so called "potty break" to find that your pod has been placed in the potty for squeezing the Charmin.

The massive amount of, please excuse the pun, "potty mouth" someone would have to hear would be Legendary.

I like it..............

No to anything with ads. EVE isn't a mobile platform...

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.
