CCP don't actually view us as "customers", they view us as "users".

Perhaps that is the problem with CCP.

Just saw that in this thread post https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=67815#post67815

How about start treating us as CUSTOMERS.

I believe they must legally refer to users since customers implies a monetary transaction while user does not.

While subscribers should be seen as customers it is also possible to be a non paying user, at least for the time one is on a trial. On a law perspective, you would then use the term "user" as to include everyone "using" the game's online services.

Now, internally, there are many type of management approaches towards that that type of services. I do not know which one(s) prevail at CCP. Smile

There really is no policy on what we refer to you guys as, internally or externally. It's really more to do with the individual and context what word we happen to use, be it user, customer or player. To a certain extent it's really semantics, but if it helps I tend to refer to you guys mostly as customers myself. Smile

I would prefer us "mentally challenged"-characters having pink "troll"-badge. That way no one would have problems figuring out which characters to block on day one :)

Mentally challenged players with pink troll badges, customers, or users........hmmmm. That is a hard one, not sure honestly........but if I had to, id say i'm a mentally challenged player with a pink troll badge.

Let's be honest here. Given the context, is the term "user" as applied to Eve players, closer in meaning to "customer" or to "crack-head"?
