About this game? This game means precisely jack-**** to me, Cade. It's a game. I find it entertaining, but involved like many of you are? Hells no.

As far as me not admitting when I was wrong? That is a bald-faced flat out lie. I've been wrong about fittings, about strategies, abot a ton of things in this game, and I've said so. I've even admitted that I have no idea, at all, how to run a corp here.

All I said is that you're too paranoid with those api-keys, and good grief, 12,000 members? You're way too fat too move around, paraphrased. The human mind does not comprehend 12k.

You can, reasonably, maintain meaningful and effective contact with 200. That's a biological limit.

You seem to be over-estimating the level of involvement most of the people disagreeing with you have. To the vast majority this is entertainment, nothing more, myself included, but just because it's just a game doesn't mean I don't want to know how it works or how other people play. You seem to have none of that desire to know about the game, you just want it to bend to your desires and expectations.

Having seen all of those threads you have, at best, deflected off the point, but that's not the same thing as admitting that you're wrong and conceding a point, it's just another way to shield your own ego.

Also that whole "biological limit" theory is circumstantial and poorly supported, there's certainly no evidence of any kind of hard biological limit, let alone on the number of people you can cooperate with in a group, it's just a stated observation and nothing more. It certainly isn't applicable to Eve in any meaningful way, and has absolutely nothing to do with API key requests for corp entry...

Now you're just rambling. Any chance you're going to let this thread get back on topic or do you absolutely have to get the last word in?

I'm done, have a go Lol

Not sure if this has been done in the past, but this third option is a better idea and I'd like to add a third party discussion forum too. I think some people who are interested in the OP want to avoid NPC corps because of the high tax.

It will be interesting at Fanfest in a month, where hopefully CCP outline more about the new chat capabilities that appeared briefly on eve updates last week.

Since that is supposed to be able to work when the server is not online, it looks like it will work out of game; in which case, hopefully it is similar in function to slack or discord.

If it is, then the idea of Aaron and even for other social groups in EVE will be a lot easier to implement. No need for use of the in game channels only. Use the new chat capabilities coming and form groups that anyone can join, no matter what Corp they are in.

It seems like the kind of thing that can go a long way to implementing the 'social corp' discussed a couple of years ago.

That of course, is a lot of speculation. just hoping that's the way it turns out since CCP are pretty heavy users of slack, so hopefully their new chat feature borrows ideas from there.

That would be good, even better with an Android app, or at least a mobile version. An out of game chat system that, possibly, synchronizes with the in-game chat system? That'd be a great addition to the game.

Yes, my ego. Freud came up with that one, right, before he did enough drugs to kill a bull elephant?

I said the Hamburglar Hunt was wrong, but in that conversation, the goons were able to make me admit that I couldn't run a 12k corp. Well, no ****. I wouldn't even try to, and I had no idea they were that large.

Did you see a few posts up? Did I yield an argument? Oh, wait. Yes, I did. It just wasn't to YOU.

Hopefully we'll find out in a month.

Personally I'm hoping that this combines with the next iteration of the EVE Portal app, to include chat features so even out of game, you can communicate with people in the game and vice versa.

But, not getting my hopes too high. The information last week was fairly basic. We only know about new chat features that work even if TQ is offline.

Daily reminder that theories are guesses that only use facts as a house of cards. Those tend to topple pretty fast. Look back through science history.

It's longer than 120 years, right? A lot of people, the MAJORITY of people, on this planet, DIED, believing a lie. Scientific theories are disproven all the time...

Who is to say that, 200 years from now, the **** we think, theoretically so wonderful and true, is not a bucket of horseshit?

We're talking about science. Uhm, Science theories, and let's go with sociology?

No you weren't. You were talking about the majority of people died believing a lie.

Why not just drop all this crap and stay on topic.

Two reasons:

1) Cade. I'm tired of him following me around and attacking me. I feel it my duty to return the favor.
2) Have you looked at these threads? I am hardly the first person to 'wander' in a conversation.

So just **** up every thread in the forum because you aren't mature enough to ignore **** you don't like?

Take it elsewhere.

Talking about science.

I wonder what happens if we put Amojin and Salvos in a thread together and close the door.

Endless, self perpetuating pseudo intellectual bs philosophy generation out of thin air!!

Step two would be to figure out how to create energy with that => planet secured!

I can see why the mods do what they do. I can also see the mods are hanging back a little on this thread. Amojin, please could you try to calm down and keep your replies on topic or I will ask the mod to delete all of your off topic posts and their replies. Don't waste your time here. Start a new thread in out of pod and talk about life and culture there.

I've had a few emails where people have said they want to be involved. At the moment its a concept. I feel the concept has been received well and I'm looking forward to starting this off. Please could any FC or group mission runner contact me and I will check you out and get your name on the mailing list for the community when it starts. Generally I'd like to adopt an easygoing vibe, its OK to get things wrong as this is part of the process of becoming good.

While I'm here is anyone aware of a cost effective team speak solution? I was thinking of hosting a ts3 on my very own pc. But I'd like a solution people can use in my absence. I'd like to start with 50 users.

It might be worth looking into Discord or Mumble as alternatives to TS3.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
