Hi everyone,

If you're not a new gamer, the Alpha state is useless.

You can't do anything, even unable to fly a simple Procurer. You can just connect and see that your account is still there.

No skills training (basic skills are trained for a date), no planetary interaction, no fly with common ships.

Just kidding...

Pay your account ? Sorry, too expensive, I gave enough money to CCP. Not everyone can offer such price.

Make money in game to buy Plex ? Oh... there is real life, not time to spend 4 hours a day to get in game money.

So ?

So, after two years of training skills, I have to leave that game. So sad.

Happily there is a huge number of other games to play as interesting and less expensive.

So, have fun.

So are you complaining about Alpha state or the base price of Eve?

You've been training for two years apparently, so you've been paying for two years (one way or another).

If your circumstances have changed for the worse and you can no longer afford the price of a single plex per month then you have my sympathy...poverty is not a joking matter.

If you're just choosing not to pay...fair enough, each to their own. No need to be whiney about it though.

You are plain wrong Mr. NeverLeftHighSec Miner. There is a ton you can do, even as a alpha miner. Go huff some gas in Wormholes. Sure, Omega can do MORE... but I think 25 free ships at 5 Mil. SP is not a bad deal. (Free things can't be a bad deal anyway.)

EVE's sub price is on par with most of the other online games out there. And you paid enough for two years, but in year three the servers still need power to run, EVE staff still gets wages ....

No one can "offer" such a price? You mean not every company can offer such a low price, or such a high price, or not every player can afford 10 bugs a month? Try to say it in French? But in all honesty: I didn't know things are that grim where you life, sorry to hear that.

Less expensive? Yes. As interesting, personal preference.. I still prefer EVE. But perhaps EVE was never the game for you. If I understand that right you only played 1% of the game anyway.

An Eve subscription costs 36 cents a day. Trivial if you enjoy the game. Free is too much if you don't.

Alpha state is perfectly viable for some play styles. There are a lot of players having fun and making a decent amount of ISK in faction warfare and Nullsec alliances. Solo highsec PVE and industrial gameplay is restricted - too easy for veteran players to exploit.

I believe Alpha state is primarily intended as an extended trial - give people a real opportunity to experience the game before hitting a paywall and I think that is working well both for CCP and the game.

4 hours a DAY to PLEX? Perhaps you should ask some other players how they do it.
If you can't pay the sub that's not funny. But the alpha limitations are not that bad, just stick to exploring, scouting, trading or FW for a while.

And regarding other "free" games: All "FTP" mulitplayer online games I played so far had micro transactions and even the most basic gaming added to more than a usual sub costs. But maybe you want to look into some classic single player offline games, those are dirt cheap or even completly free. (If you don't mind outdated graphics.)

OP you are very bad. If you have been playing for 2 years or are beyond alpha SP you know there are "free" ways of making your eve sub. Roll

Secondly there are quite a few things you can do as an alpha even in high sec. Mind you mining in a barge isnt one of those.Roll


@Scipio if he needs 4 hours a day to plex an account I dont think he has any "stuff" to give anyone. Twisted

Use your main character as SP farm. It allow you to stay in omega state for free but you don't learn new skill. it's viable option

you need to make 38709677.4194isk a day to be able to plex an account. thats 60 minutes in a vexor in nullsec ratting.

you must be super-bad if it takes you 4 hours to do that :/

EVE has never been anything but pay to play unless you're hauling in tons of isk. Quit thinking of Alpha clones as a free way to play eve, and start seeing them as a really really long trial account for the game.

15-20 minutes every other day for me to plex approx 5-6 accounts (if i wanted that many). Also just to run it in for the OP, i could do (have done) 80% as well on an alpha clone with a months worth of skills Pirate

or sell part of your monthly SP (for example half of it). It helps to pay for PLEX and you still learn some skills. In this case the learning speed is comparable to alpha, but you dont have all other restrictions.
