Release on March 14
Mining Drone Specialization skill and T2 Mining Drones
We are adding the skill "Mining Drone Spec" to the requirements of T2 mining drones. Your will get a higher yield from T2 mining drones (+2% per skill level). Only mining drones II will be affected. All other drones use their specialization skills.

Structure, Drone & Fighter improvements
You will get many improvements with the March release. CCP Lebowski lists some of them. Upwell structures will provide the "repair" service. Undocking with a session timer will queue the undocking (Wait until timer the expires. Then, you automatically undock.) New shortcuts for drones and fighters. Increased drone interaction range. Better tooltips for fighters and more! Check out the details.

Mobile Warp Disruptor decay
Mobile Warp Disruptors will decay. If left in space for a longer time, they will explode. The decay time is 2 days (Tech1), 1 week (Tech2) and two weeks (Syndicate). You can see the remaining time in the "Show Info" window. We also change the hitpoints and shield regeneration....

Does this "Rorqs need to have a rock locked to PANIC-solution" sound only a bit jury-rigged to me, or do others have that issue, too?

It does not help Rorqs getting used as tackle against actual mining-rorqs, you can still abuse Rorqs as Invulnerable cyno-midpoint( yeah, you have to be near an asteroid, awww...) and on the counterside: It leaves civilian Rorqs without their major thing of defense when they are caught anywhere else but in a belt. Besides having an expensive, skill-intensive module for short-term invulnerability whichs use could be prevented by a damn ECM is kinda odd, too.

Has that been a "We had our 4 six-packs per person, lets just do this, what could go wrong-idea"?

In regards to project discovery, what will happen to AK's and the current rewards for these points?

Will the current AK' be removed or set back to 0?

Will the current AK rewards be removed from the SOE LP store?

Will AK's be the same currency for the next event, exoplanet research?

Will we get answers before it's too late to cash in any AK's should they be removed?

Can I also please request that any commemorative token/medal/gesture/whatever we get for having participated in the project discovery event as discussed in the last CSM summit minutes, details our research quality as opposed to our spam click cytoplasm prowess!

Nice! I am digging some of these upcoming drone changes...

3) bronze goes to the ability to set a shortcut to launch a group. Sounds like you'll need to name the group of your most-used drones on every ship "autolaunch" or "faves" or something like that, which isn't very descriptive about whether there's lights, heavies, sentries, logibots, mining bots, salvage bots, etc... inside the group, but it's a hell of a start! would love to see per-ship option or at least per ship-class option someday.

2) silver goes to "F to mine repeatedly"... Very very nice, especially with the new age of porpoise/orca/rorqual uberminingdrone action!

1) and gold goes to mining drone spec skill applying to mining drone IIs next update, hooray! I am just about to train my orca pilot into those in the coming few weeks, what perfect timing. ;)

...

Now, if only we could get a "assign fave group of drones to same pilot we assigned them to earlier" shortcut, or the ability to assign a drone bunny spot in a fleet hierarchy or something similar. #3 gives me hope that one day... one day perhaps the drone window will be more usable than it has been since I began playing in 2013.

so warp disruption bubbles were already damn near useless before this nerf. Now i just dont see the point? If the prices dont go down on these there is zero point to buy T2 large mobile disrupters. this is what you think needs balancing?!?

As to the Sun model revamp.

The prominences look cool, as do the super cell activity. But there is a major Astrophysics error: Limb Darkening. All stars exhibit limb darkening. If you look at pictures of the Sun from space, limb darkening is clearly visible.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Limb_darkening

Also, will the images be calibrated against stellar models with convection/starspot activity? Different classes of star would probably exhibit different convection patterns based on where their convection/radiative zones would be in their internal structure (i.e. If a radiative zone in a B or O class star is near the surface, there should be no supercell convection. Or for Wolf-Rayet stars... they're nothing but an exposed radiative core.)

Part of the joy of EVE for me is seeing stars that I study close up.
