So you are in the middle of doing something and this message will pop up in the middle of the screen and you can click nothing else until you have read it and clicked ok

Does anyone think this is a good idea and for what ?

Ok I will expand on that a bit say you try to dock and access is denied you get a message saying access is denied click ok to continue . but say for instance you need to GTFO because it's not letting you dock do you really want to have to do that first ?

There are a few other inappropriate times that you do do not want to spend extra seconds closing a window

There's a circle in Hell for modal windows. It's nestled between the fornicators and the lawyers if I remember correctly.

Or is it between child molesters and people who talk at the theater?

Its for people that dont know what they are doing. It mainly serves a purpose to warn them.

If they complain in the ticket to GM, CCP will force them to confess they were not reading the messages that warned them, and CCP will wash their hands off any responsibility.

Something like EULA in space.

my favorite is when you hit reload all just as something finishes reloading and it gives you a pop up saying all full.

jumping into low-sec for the first time, needs to be clicked to be dismissed. because of that anyone who complains about getting gate camped in low either read it and disregarded it, or ignored it completely. personally I love that that one exists.

My favorite is when you accidentally try to drag a few stacks of the wrong kind of item into the wrong kind of cargo bay and it gives you an equal number of popups which each then have to be closed.

The pop-up when first jumping to low-sec makes sense, you want to get the player's full attention to warn them. But there are some situations where a pop-up window shows up just to be a d***, for example when surveying moons. I don't need a surprise obstructive pop-up window every time a moon happens to be barren, why not just add it to the moon analysis list stating "no materials found"?

When you fit a module that you do not have enough power grid for some reason it gives me two identical popup windows every time

"Physics says no"

Try putting something in itself.

Oh, I perfectly understand, Hal Morsh — a mission like this requires courage, skill, and heroism… qualities you are clearly lacking. Have you forgotten you're one of the bloody immortals!?

I keep that one enabled, its a firewall and has 2 options to cancel the jump or continue the jump.
