Befriend an Aoth

My friend Chloe, she was bright and energetic. She loved everyone unconditionally and was always really excited to see a new face. This aoth was one of my favorites, as she would wake me up in the morning to licks on my face, covering me in kisses and smothering me with her love. She was soft and fuzzy and adorable. I miss Chloe.

Another friend I once had was a rowdy aoth named Nitty. I met him when he was a juvenile, he was small, fuzzy, and aggressive. He'd attack anything in sight. He loved to jump on things, climb anything he came across, he'd tear the couches and curtains and my skin with his claws. But when he grew older he also grew fat, and he'd try to jump on the fan but instead he'd just knock it over. Poor guy. I miss Nitty.

When I was rather young, I befriended a brightly colored aoth...I can't remember the name, it has been so long. He was a calm soul, drifting along gently with the breeze. His home got very dirty and I tried to keep it clean, but it was too much work and too stressful for the guy. Finally I got him some companion aoths to help clean his home. Unfortunately I didn't make very good choices, as one of the aoths killed the others, hurt my bright friend, and escaped. I miss my brightly colored friend.

Once I befriended an aoth whom I never named. This one had taken up residence on our house, and she built a home on the outside wall. I tried to feed her a few times but I think I never managed to find her food she liked. One day she took down her house and left. I can't help but think it was my fault. I miss the traveling aoth.

No clue, but looks like he's talking about cats. What?

Aoth = Animal Other Than Human.

Ah. Re-read it.

Once I befriend an aoth. He was ash gray and pure white and had a kind of scaly pink tail longer than his body. The caretaker at the franchise chain pet store said he was bullied in the store tank, but he was the good one. When he got to our little house, he explored all around my tiny "home office" room, with two preschoolers tooling around too. After he'd had a good look around going back and forth around the floor and to all the corners and crannies, he came up around my right ankle and raised up on his haunches, whiskers twitching, looking in me face. I put the guy under my t-shirt, he rested a bit, then explored around a bit, then climbed up to below my shoulder and just sat hanging out. Cool little dude, what a big soul full of love, chilling under a t-shirt tent/nest. For true, that little aoth had a soul and mind bigger than the best of us.

Best friend forever, preschool kid friends and me all still miss mighty heart wise Roger.

On the internet, nobody knows you're an aoth.
