Congratz! I still remember the feeling Big smile

I mined and build my own megathron when i was playing my first year of eve and things weren't that easy as they are now.

I still own it even.

Ships that were remarkable moments for me(kind of chronologically):

I remember to fly my first myrmidon, my first retriever, my first hulk, my first Drake, my first Megatron, my first tengu, my first cheetah (had lots of fun on this one back in the days), then my first vindicator and my first basilisk.

Then I started running incursions in 2011 and no other ship I flew no matter which one could ever bring that feeling back again.
Incursions killed the excitement of flying new ships.

Maybe you should stop running Incursions then.

Thank you very much for the offer and I'll definitely keep it in mind.

I remember how proud I was to build my very first ship in Eve - the Hurricane Battlecruiser. After my first 9 months of playing this game piloting nothing but Tech 1 Frigates, I decided it was time to move up in ship hull class to Battlecruiser. I bought a Researched BPC from contracts with the intent of building it myself. After viewing the amount of Minerals needed to build it, I basically realized it would take forever to mine the required amount due to only having a Tech 1 Mining Frigate.

Nor could I buy the required Minerals since all I had in my wallet was less than 1 mill ISK which was needed to buy and train up skills as well as buy the necessary equipment to fit up the ship. I soon gave up on the idea and was wondering what I should do with the Researched BPC.

I mentioned the issue to a friend in chat who was a member of an Industrial Corp. He said his Corp mates would be more than happy to help me complete my goal of building my very first ship in Eve, the Hurricane Battlecruiser. I asked him how much would it cost and he said the price was that I had to help the Corp gather the Ore.

The next day I was asked if I had an Industrial Transport to use since my job was to collect up the Ore that was mined and haul it back to station for Refining. I said I had a Wreathe Industrial Transport ship to which they said wouldn't be able to keep up with their Fleet. I was advised to get a larger Industrial Transport ship so I bought a Hoarder Industrial Transport fit with Shield tank and Expanded Cargohold mods.

I showed up at the designated Asteroid Belt to see my very first Mining Fleet in action - 6 Hulks, 1 Rorqual and 1 Orca. It was a very impressive site to behold, a virtual Laser Light show in space. Fleet chat was very active and they had plenty of Combat Drones to take care of pesky NPC's. As a noob I didn't understand why the NPC's were always attacking my Transport ship instead of the Mining Fleet. When asked, they laughed and informed me that I was triggering the NPC's with my constant warping into the Asteroid Belt.

Needless to say they kept me very busy during the next few hours. I had no time to rest, constantly running back and forth emptying cans into my ship and then unloading the Ore in station. They even Reprocessed the Ore into Minerals for me and told me to sell the extra Minerals and buy the last few items needed to manufacture my Hurricane Battleship. All of this was done for free, out of the goodness of their hearts.

I will never forget that experience. Thanks to them I was able to build my very first ship in Eve which served me very well for a long time, the Hurricane Battlecruiser.

my first experience playing with others was flying a frig with a cargo expander back and forth between a container and the closest station all night to save up some money for whatever the caldari destroyer is. 7 years later and for no good reason I am only a few hours away for destroyer 5, I missed a few years and thought I should find out what a hectate is....

Stay safe and fly dangerous, brother.

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

That was the first part of the story, now sleep well.
Tomorrow I tell you the second part of the story, how I ran into a gate camp and lost my hurricane in less than a second ;))

Yup. It's worth celebrating when we hit our goals. If yours was the Kronos, you get a double kudos, first for achieving, second because it was not a Paladin.

I remember my happiest moment, but I won't steal your thunder repeating it. Rest assured, what you did is a very normal landmark of personal achievement. We all remember that personal goal stuff. After all, the hardest goals, to meet, in life, are not set by others, but by ourselves. Congrats.
