Hiya guys, can i print t-shirts with the eve logo on or with ships on if they are for me to wear ?

i wont be selling them, i just want some to wear and maybe send some to my corp mates

So that's a no to the friends thing... Whilst it would be breaching copyright you are also not planning on selling them so I assume it would be ok

My friend, there are rules and there is enforcement. They have to find out who you are, where you are and what you're doing to enforce the rules. Honestly, I don't even know why you're asking here on the forum unless you want CCP to come tell you "No, you can't do that".

You can put anything you want onto a teeshirt. You just have to be careful if you are going to try to sell them. There are even companies out there that will make them bulk for you, providing they don't have a clause that prevents them from reproducing copywritten/trademarked material.

Now I doubt you would get in trouble if you made a shirt that had say your corp name and logo on it. Multicolor silk screening though is an expensive process so I would avoid ships.

Just go for it.
You're all good until you want to sell them, which is a no-go simply
because it's not your stuff you're printing on the shirts.

Feel free to do whatever you want..

Chances that someone will suit you for it, unless you create an multimillion dollar profit from selling them is very very un-likely.

And if you somehow manage to make such great business out of it.. i bet they will not close you up.. they would want just some cut out of it.. Big smile

As long as whatever you put on the tee-shirts is yours, it doesn't matter if you sell them. Want to stick a ship ion there? Have somebody draw you one. You'll own the copyright to the art, and you can sell it however you want.

Don't believe me? Then you haven't been to deviantART yet, have you? I saw an Eve-themed bit of art available in print just the other day.

Can I make an EVE vid ingame and add TSFH music to it?

I do it all the time. Do Two Steps from Hell care? I doubt it. Can they for legal reasons endorse it? No. Will they hunt me down and sick 20 lawyers on me? No.

They did care when I made a game video with their music Oops. I even credited them but still...

Most shirt store has a legal requirement not to print any picture that has a trademark on it.

Lets be honest.
When you say you want to print t-shirts with eve logo for you to wear you actually mean you're living in China making not much money at all working long hours to print t-shirts.
When you say corp mates you actually mean people who are forcing you to print the t-shirts for them and they will sell the t-shirts.

No wonder the t-shirts in the Eve Store cost so much they have to put the price up to compensate for people like you. This makes me sad.
