People should be able to beat you the **** down when you do something stupid. It's how you get smarter. It's how you get tougher. Survival of the fittest, motha*****. If you can't handle the heat, get the **** outa our damn kitchen you cry baby.

Damn, I'm a ******* miner and I have more of a backbone than you do.

That's okay, you have me tempted to start up another account now. I need a combat pilot that will eventually capable of lighting a cyno for my one day dream of a Jump Freighter. Would you still happen to have your 60 day trial key? I'd appreciate it if you could share that with me, please.

You do realize that you are not allowed to run a trial with a paid sub right?

"allowing non con-sensual PVP" ???? - I know, it's just WRONG that people shoot you when they can! I mean where is the gallantry in that?! no gauntlet across the face nor formal calling out for a duel? UNCIVIL!!!

Well if you ever made it to 0.0 you would find we aren't such uncivilized scum. NO! Not at all! !Before all major fights both sides take tea together, talk fits, tactics, and swap piloting tips before the FCs politely ask if everyone is fully prepared to fight to the death.

I am so sorry you never experienced this! Unfortunately due to the game mechanics of high sec it attracts a certain social scum in order to do any PVP there. Honestly you should join us in null and low sec. We are much better behaved.

And CCP should consider making all of empire space "un-secure" as it breeds scumbag pvpers who do high sec gate gankings, incursion traps, etc which makes the high paying customers butt hurt to the point they quit! leaving CCP destitute for funds.

Alas! there is the solution. As always I am at your disposal should you require any further advice, aid, or guidance to finding the much more "refined and civilized circles" in Eve.

No gankers means a lower needs for Trashers/Catalists/Tier 3 BCs, also lower needs for mining barge, transport ships and others, which means lower income for starting industrial people.

Less ships being made, means less minerals being sold, meaning starter accounts that wants some easy incomes to kick in by mining will make even less.

Gankers feed the new players !

Please stay unsubbed. If you resub again I insist you join a real corporation in the game. So I can wardec you.

Think about it, this will create a mutually satisfying arrangement: I can prey on someone stupid, and you won't be killed by a lowlife "griefer." Blink

If you plan on playing EVE as... well as anything. You MUST be prepared to keep what you got. Grow a pair (at least a single) and train some PVP skills.

For it is not the strong who survive, but the one who adapts fastest. It took only one gatecamp for me to learn that lesson.

Great take on the current situation. Of course, those painted with this brush will QQ like the tough guys they are. I call them "passive sociopaths" as they're too chicken to go out in the world and act out their "toughness"...or they're too puny (which is more likely).

Good post. Stick it to 'em. CCP's directorship has the insight of a cabbage with regard to this. Often I've likened them to boys who never grew out of playing in their daddy's garage. Too scared to skin a knee for real.

Paradise is like where you are right now, only much, much better.

1) Cheap ganking ships taking out expensive industrial "soft targets" that they can gain profit from drops, irrespective of insurance changes which a unnoticable for T1 destroyers and other cheap alternatives compared to loot gains. Certainly quick to obtain value wise anyhow e.g. do one level 4 you could buy what you need and more.

2) Poor insurance for most T2. Laughable as a means of income protection here in most cases anyhow with cargo/mods etc.

3) Bounty system that is ineffectual at best, benefical to target at worst that hasnt been addressed for eons. Hence lack of direct player policing mechanic for nefarious behaviour. Giving cowardly gankers a nice umbrella to hide under.

4) No insurance for implants on pods. Omelette ganking becoming the fast growing sport due to KB's having isk amounts due to implants now.

5) War mechnics ineffectual due to cowardly NPC corp use, corp hopping or dropping by gankers.

6) Low skilling needs to enter the ganking profession, can start in under 2 days with destroyer. Or be neutral cargo scooper.

7) Security hits in high sec mostly useless. Especially for Pod kills. Fast ratting and other techniques can repair ship hits quickly.

8) No economic power to inflict on perpertrators. i.e. can't exclude sales or employ commercial leverage due to free market even with low security or alt use.

[cynical]Yep the systems certainly seem in favour of the soft industrial/commercial target.[/cynical]

Stop making yourself an easy target then. Scout, tank, cloak/mwd, don't take obvious pipes and stop mining high sec in hulks.

Victims just can't help but be victims sometime.

1). Your fault for making yourself a "soft target." If you get ganked in highsec, you deserve it 100% tbh. Use a scout friend to see if there are gankers on the next gate. Fit a cloak + mwd to warp with minimized risk. Fit a tank. Do any 2 of these 3 things and I can guarantee that you'll pretty much be suicide-gank immune. If you're too lazy to do this, you don't deserve your assets, and people who work harder at their profession - the suicide gankers - will claim your stuffs.

2). If you're getting suicide ganked in a t2 ship, you're doing it waaaay wrong. T2 haulers should be able to avoid a gank with minimal risk, a jump freighters really aren't that useful for highsec travel in comparison to t1 freighters. On the other hand, if you're talking about PVP in general and not just suicide ganking, then this affects everyone equally - if your t2 ship gets destroyed, sure, you've lost isk, but if you destroy the t2 ship of a hostile, then they lose isk as well.

3). Oh, come on, there are plenty of merc corps which will go dec/pod people for you. Just because the feature created by CCP is shoddy doesn't make it impossible.

4). Solution: Don't autopilot around with a pod? Why would you even do this in the first place? Shuttles are faster. You shouldn't be getting podded anywhere, at all, unless you're bubbled in 0.0, in which case you're dead regardless of whether implants show up on killmails. Also, do you want insurance on ******* everything? You realize that this would help PVPers just as much as it would help carebears, right?

5). Lol, please, griefers want you to dec them so that they can wipe the floor with you in a fight. It's the other way around; when griefers dec "carebears," you're the ones who end up using a cowardly decshield. Nearly every "griefer" I know will welcome a dec from inexperienced highseccies.

6). Low skilling is also needed to start the hauling/trading profession, maybe 3-4 days for a t1 industrial?

7). Lol, no. It adds up quickly. Sure, you can get away with the occasional gank without being outlawed from highsec, but make a profession out of it and you'll likely descend below -5 rather quickly. Once that happens, you can kiss goodbye to Jita, and ever making isk in highsec again. (Unless you take the time to rat it back up again.) Sure, Goonswarm figured out a way to still gank even when you're below -5, but doing so requires friends and Orca alts, which is much more effort than it takes for your mining ship to hit d-scan every minute or so.

8). PVPers don't have the option to shoot the station in while you're making a profit from trading. I don't have the power to inflict asset damage on you unless you undock. Sounds fair to me; I can't shoot you while you're docked, you can't trade embargo me while you're docked.

9). No, it's not; it's in favour of anyone who has initiative, creativity, persistence, and a spine.

Nobody funds themselves through PVP of any kind. (Unless you count scamming or market trading as PVP) PVP is a way people spend ISK. Please learn how EVE works before complaining on the forums.

OP, I will say this in the nicest way possible.... EVE is not for you.

EVE is a game where you fight to survive (until you have enough power not to have to). It is a game where as soon as you undock, you are a target. It is a PvP server. Like all other PvP servers in all other games, you agree to PvP the moment you connect. The whole purpose of this game is killing and stabbing in the back.

You seem to want to be left alone in peace... there is no such thing in EVE unless all you want to do is count your spins.
Try going on any other PvP server with 30k concurrent players and getting away with being left alone.

Now, I can sympathize... somewhat. The game wasn't what you expected, it happens. the problem is you expected it to be something it isn't, and more than once.

Also, hate to say it but the only sociopaths in EVE are the ones who think there are sociopaths in EVE.

TLDR: sorry you are disappointed about encountering PvP on a PvP server. Try a PvE one next time...
