When are we gonna get some actual channels to watch? I mean at least give us some football or something to watch instead of the "Player with the highest bounty + Newest Players" channel

What we have now could be the "Galnet Channel".

A tourney channel could broadcast the most recent alliance fights.

And 4 trade hub cams, that are a live/delayed stream of the trade hub stations.

Perhaps later a camera drone channel that broadcasts a random fight, as it happens (probably with a delay).


Gives you something to watch while trolling local and your corp mates :)

what good is newest players anyhow... you can't bait or canflip them Pirate

I wonder how long it will be before people plug live feeds from their alts in space to have a command center in their CG showing them whats going on all over new eden on their TV

I once saw myself on the test server CQ TV listed as a new player. Thought it was kinda ridiculous with the Nex store stuff showing and that my character is well over 2 years old, but I felt famous.Bear

too easy a source of intel. being able to know what is going on somewhere else without putting yourself at risk is game-breaking in a game where knowledge of who is where and doing what is the name of the game.

It definately could be made a bit more interesting,

But since the recent "get out of CQ free card" I wouldn't be able to hear it anyway over the sound of my typhoon furiosly revolving.

Alliance tournaments at the very least might be of interest.

Should also help dramatically with bandwidth if CCP can change from needing to send a livestream to simply an in-game event stream. (With an audio stream on the side)

Playback from local folders (like the Jukebox) would also be nice. Perhaps making use of DirectShow to avoid needing to implement their own set of decoders? (Would also allow the supported formats to be extended)
