It's on wikipedia so it must be real.

The alt codes do not work on my keyboard by default though, I get ╡ for 437 and ╢ 438... hmm.

InterSteller Kredits reads ISK, and the "Z" symbol is literally pronounced ISK, just like $ is pronounced dollar or "L" as pound, or "Y" as yen. Yeah I dont have the fancy shmancy keyboard shortcuts either.Blink

Learn your lore LULU!!! Back to the NPE with you!! Lol

Have you heard anything I've said?

You said it's all circling the drain, the whole universe. Right?

That's right.

Had to end sometime.

The wallet has it in its icon, but I think you answered your question yourself: One tends to get into all sorts of encoding troubles with weird symbols like that. And even if not, nobody would type Ƶ anyway. And in bookkeeping and business communication, it's common practice to type USD instead of $, EUR instead of €, JPY instead of ¥, probably for the same reasons.

It appears in game but I've never seen it written like Ƶ1,000,000 (google translate for my worldly friends Ƶ1.000.000)

Would that even be correct? lol

mostly because I'm way too lazy to look up how to do the symbol and typing isk is easy.

Yes it would be correct written this way. Or just like 1,000,000USD it would be 1,000,000,000ISK.

I don't write 1,000,000USD in my checkbook (chequebook) .....

Big smile

I could write that in my checkbook, and it would bounce like a MWD speeding Rifter off of an asteroid.

While its possible to map this symbol to a key with additional program, its easier to just write ISK for everybody, like you would write USD.

Yes but you also know what denoted currency your checkbook is in and this doesnt change. If you would have multiple entries it would be proper to denote the different currencies in this way.

Why do we say ISK? Well, I wouldn't even know how to pronounce Ƶ. :P

Also I always found it funny that it was deemed necessary to include that redirection hint here. That's what you get for creating a virtual community with more members than your home country.

Icelandic króna doesn't have a symbol. They just use "kr'".

EvE Interstellar Kredits (ISK) are by definition Ƶ.

Perhaps Ƶ is a symbol for a number of currencies in the way that $ is.

It's so much easier to just say ISK instead of InterStellar Kredits.
