If only there were other players in the game you could pay to help protect your ships while you mine.

*sigh*

Eve is like an addiction; you can't quit it until it quits you. Also, iderno

You will more than likely need to shove ISK down people's pocket to get them to guard you in a belt...

Yeah. I wouldn't even do it for an alt unless I was paid. Pretty boring gameplay.

The funny part is that a big honkin ship is not going to save an untanked ship that **is not designed for combat**

If you want to counter gankers, you gave to take a page out of their playbook and/or find the direct counter of it.
see:
- you want to over tank your ship so that it is "not profitable" or "requires too much effort" or "we don't have enough people" to gank.
- you want to have "guards" in cheap, VERY fast locking, and high volley ships to nuke anyone who goes criminal (or is already an outlaw)
- you stay vigilant (hint: with friends around, it only takes 1 of you to alert the rest) and bug out where danger is detected

You dont need to volley them. And don't need a fast locking ship.
As soon a catalyst or trasher hits the belt lock them with a griffin.
Most likely they get scared and warp off again.
If not and they try to. Ecm the crap aut of them as soon they turn criminal and let space police do the rest.

Alternative you could remote rep rhe targeted barge

You should fly into a blobb of Skiffs somewhere in nullsec all with their drones out and go for tackle. Then tell us how that went.

Nothing can go wrong and you will (be) get content.

I can see why you'd struggle to defend yourself when you're trying to play on 53 characters at once. Maybe condense your multi boxing and you can defend yourself more intelligently.

As said, We have nothing to fight back at them with mining and cargo ship, so Passive systems like these will certainly help us survive.

All combat ships are in need of cargo hold rebalance.
Did you know exploration frigates have larger cargo holds than the harbinger? Frigates and cruisers should have significantly smaller holds than ships significantly larger.

The current industrial transport ships would be increased slightly for more room at higher risk and if you want to transport small to moderate cargo or something you'd use a combat ship as an armed transport. Like the old exequror but larger scale. No reason for a gnosis to have a larger cargo hold than battleships and have frigates with more space than battlecruisers. Harbinger is 375 for reference.

Frigates should get 0-400 like they currently do. Cruisers scale it up to 500-900
Battlecruisers get bigger to 1000-1500, and battleships to 2000s and you keep seeing it increase.
It's kind of silly when yiu look at it currently. An itty bitty t1 industrial at level 1 Indy has more cargo space than a big dreadnought.
Look at the size difference. How does a battleship only have a few hundred m3 more space despite being 50times.

A van has more cargo space than a tank...

Haulers sacrifice all their features for cargo space, combat ships have all their features maximised at the expense of cargo space. It never surprised me that non-combat frigs have more cargo space than combat battle cruisers.

IKR?

what's amazing is they will do things in the area and can almost always make it in time if you actually tank you ships. use a god damn proc rather than your mack and you will find you can kill most things smaller than a cruiser if you manage your drones.

i find it amazing that i can have people regularly mining in LS yet people can't even seem to manage HS. here is another tip use D-scan and warp off if you see a cat at 1au. ofc this means you can't be afk

it couldn't be because larger holds would be extreemly OP when it comes to things like cap boosters could it? just look at how strong the marauders become with that cargo hold. They would not last very long if they couldn't keep their tank running.
