Raitaru unanchoring questions

Hi,

I have a couple of questions regarding the unanching/decommissioning process.

1) If you have active production jobs, are they cancelled as soon as you start the unanchoring process?

2) If the Raitaru is attacked during the 7 day unanchoring process, will it's defences (missiles, ECMs, etc) still be online to help defend it?

Cheers ....

Not from experience here, so I hope the following info is correct:

1. In order to unanchor, the fittings need to be removed. So there can't be any active jobs when you unanchor. They will have already been cancelled when you remove the modules

2. If you start to unanchor, the unanchoring process will complete before the final reinforcement timer expires, so you dont need to worry about defences. Just be there to pick up the structure when it unanchors.

Could be totally wrong though as it's still relatively new, so not a lot of information about yet.

Decommissioning a Structure (unanchoring)

Decommissioning a structure is a 7 day process.

Only a Director or the CEO of the owning corporation may decomission a structure.

Once the decommission process has begun it can be cancelled, but it will reset the decommissioning time to 7 days.

After the 7 days, player assets inside the structure will be moved to Asset Safety. Modules, charges, and fighters attached to the structure will be moved to a container for anyone to scoop and the structure itself will be left in space in a scoopable state. The rigs that were installed into the structure will be destroyed.

During the 7 days of decommissioning the structure will undergo its usual vulnerability hours. If the structure is successfully attacked during a Vulnerability window, the Decommissioning process will be cancelled and the structure will proceed through its normal vulnerability cycle.

Please note that the timer visible on the structure indicates its normal vulnerability cycle, not the unanchoring process, as that timer is not supposed to be known.

So from the above, the EC can be attacked during the unanchoring process and if put into the first vulnerability timer, will cancel the unanchoring process. Any defences will therefore be active during this process. You can and should leave the defence modules fitted during the unanchoring process and they will appear in a can when the unanchoring completes. (Rigs will be destroyed).

As the fittings don't need to be removed prior to starting the unanchoring, I don't know what will happen to active jobs, but I would guess that they continue until the unanchoring completes, otherwise a malicious director could continually cancel jobs by starting and stopping the unanchoring cycle.

From experience with an Astrahus.

1) Everything keeps working as normal when you click un-anchor. Thus I would say as long as the job completes before the structure un-anchors you are fine.

2) If you are attacked then yes you can use the weapons to help defend.

As stated anything in a hanger will be moved into asset safety (unless you are in a wormhole) once the un-anchoring completes. So you will need to un-fit the structure before hand. Handy hint here is to make sure that the un-anchoring completes during a non vulnerable time period.

I am not completely sure what happens if your structure is reinforced before the un-anchoring completes but I would expect that the un-anchoring can not complete if the structure is not at full health just like a POS.

If the structure is attacked are you able to change/replace items in slots?

LOL answered my own question ... no you cannot ... cannot change fittings since structure is damaged and needs to be repaired first !
