Hello everyone, I just wanted to inform those of you who run missions who dont bother salvaging them, are interested in helping out newer players or those of you who are new to the game about the “Free Wrecks” channel. A long lasting community of players who offer their wrecks to freelancer salvagers, a great way to make some easy ISK and meet people.

Salvagers
Alpha’s - You will need to train into your respective racial destroyer type; to be able to more efficiently salvage sites.
Omega’s - If you haven't done so already; train for a Noctis, the use of Salvager II's, Tractor Beam II's, Salvage Drones & Mobile Tractor Unit.
Mission Runners
Please state; where your bookmark will be traded, contracted or if you're hoping to fleet with the salvager looking for work.
If you are contracting or trading bookmarks dont forget to; abandon all wrecks and containers!

See channel MOTD for more information.

This is all o7

Pro Synergy - Allowing high sec missioning clients to improve their income per hour, while contributing to our communitarian efforts to guide and support new and old pilots alike.

Free Wrecks is a great thing. When I first started playing in 2008 (different character), I really had no idea what the hell to do after the tutorial missions. I did some low-level missioning, but really didn't have any clue about fittings or anything.

I found the free wrecks channel at some point. A very nice woman took me under her wing, and pointed me to learning resources, helped me understand some fitting basics, and eventually gave me a Cormorant all tricked out for salvaging (this was before the Noctis was released by a fair bit). That kind of a gift seemed like a huge amount at the time, and I was really struck by her generosity.

It didn't take me long following lvl 4 mission runners around and cleaning up before I was wealthier than I ever expected. I eventually moved on to other things. But that one person's act of kindness made an impact on me and probably kept me in the game for this long.

I should go back and repay that act of kindness.

I honestly feel like I just read fifty shades of dumb. --CCP Falcon

Ha, I discovered Free Wrecks back in 2009 when it had an awesome community of new and old pilots. Sadly to say these days people are way too paranoid to read that something can be “Free”; regardless I still post my wrecks in there when I'm running missions as I would much prefer to help out a new or returning player this way, rather than them going solo mining to earn PLEX.
