Hi!
I have some questions what should i do in game when i've just started. To say true i played in eve some time ago and no i made big come back :D I've played only for 3-4 months so i don't know too much about this game so i'm asking here.


I would like to know what should i do when my character doesn't have too much skills. I know that in EVE i can do what i want but at the begining i have problems with everything:P Can you give me tips?

At this moment i go for mining ships and skills. I would like to gather some money when i have to training skills. I play on alpha account, of course i buy omega but in future:P

Is industry profitable in HS? I would like to find way to gather money when i can fly my ships in ore site or combat site, i like exploration but i have too low skills:/

Theres a buncha activities listed here:

And there are mini-communities within these activities, and usually the active ones gather in a chat channel. Hang out with them.

Isk wise, get a hold on the volume of isk a specific activity does.. eg. exploration, you can go on weeks without a good haul and sometimes a consecutive streak of lucky boxes. Or how hisec mining is a very forgiving and accessible activity.. but has a low payout for the raw materials.. etc etc.

Since eve has gone f2p, you can create more characters to dip into the activities you might like. Me, i've started to train a Faction Warfare char to look into the loyalty point stores they have. Another one is looking for a wormhole corp to join..

With the skill injectors and a regular flow of isk(aka: PLEX), getting into a portion of the game will be easier.

You can do pretty much anything in this game on your first day. So to advise you we'd need to know a little bit more about what kind of things you typically enjoy doing in games.

If you don't know what it is that you like doing that's great! Then try everything and do more of what it is that you like.

my long term goal is pvp, this i know for sure. But in this moment i have 9 mln isk and about 450 000 skill points. With this i can do nothing. I will be miner now to gather some money and basis skills. When i can fit some ships i would like to take exploration most in combat. This is what i know now but i ave to find a way to gather my goals... i thought of industry also but i don't know if it is profitable in HS because i have low skills so i don't know if i can earn some money on it at this moment. Industry is nice because you click some buttons and it happen automatically

Or...

You could join faction warfare. You can defensive plex in a corvette if you need to, and the loyalty points will help you make the cash you need to buy combat frigates. Then you can start offensively plexing, if you like.

That way you are a) doing what you want to be doing (pvp), and b) training for what you want to be doing (pvp).

Seems much better than mining just to make some ISK.

but i have question.

1. If i do it, i get bad standing with other rase? Is it problem with bad standing in later game?

Yes you will get bad standings with some of the FW activities, and npc militia will harass you at gates in the other regions.

This is not really a problem because you can create new chars whose job is to be the 'high standings char', if that is important to your gameplay at this early stage of your char. I say find yourself a high paying activity first, and settle in. If you need something from the other empire's space, just make an alt and use it to get/sell stuff.

Now... there are big, big groups out there in nullsec that have these ship-replacement-programs (SRP) for their members. If you don't mind being ordered around, and point and shoot your guns in the same direction.. then this type of environ is available to you. If you still want a hisec char, then just make a brand new 'null sec' char specially for this. No worries about being brand spanking new, some of these groups literally lets you join, no questions asked.

If your goal is PvP you why are you wasting time learning to mine? Do something combat related for money so you can train combat skills and practice while you make ISK.
