I would like to upgrade my Hyperion to either a vindicator or Kronos if necessary to try the Gallente Epic L4 arc for the 1st time. I have messed around int he sim a bit but I am not sure which way to go. I would appreciate some advice on this, and also to those who have run the arc, some fitting suggestions.

I have all the relevant blaster/ rail skills to specialization 4, Marauders 4, BS 5 etc. I can fit all T2/ faction/ DS equipment. I am using the high grade askelian (spelling) set with 6-10 being for cap/ hybrids. I think I may prefer to snipe at 1st to get a feel for the elite ships, I have read some of the BS can chase you down at 1000m/s, and the elite frigs are nasty. If the Kronos/ bastion tank can just park and bastion and tank it then blasters are fine also.

I run all 4 lvl 4 epic arcs, usually in a golem with cruise missiles.

why? because of the obscene amount of dps thrown at you and even at 200kms still having a frigate apply dps and full ew can be depressing.

Ive had normal lvl 4s decide that even in a dual repped heavy resist they weren't going to put up with me, an epic is like a lvl 4 on steroids, on most I use range easily to my advantage because being well into their ranges hurts.

I hear blasters with bastion and null get a gun range so d mjd 1 cycle, bastion and blast away starting with frigs first.

I run epics in a number of ships and no hardwires.

A clarification, if your m/o is to MJD out then you're better off using railguns. Blasters, on the other hand, with Null and Bastion easily shred targets at 50-70km but of course the closer the better. In my personal experience, Kronos does not need to jump out for safety, jumping should be purely tactical decision. And the choice of guns boils down to enemies, if they swarm you or you land close to them then use blasters, if you're far away or they keep the distance - railguns.
