We tried the Rifter model but does anyone think that the Garmur, which looks much more like a regular fighter jet of current design, might be a better seller?

The Rifter is the most iconic of EVE frigates IMO in addition to being one of the coolest looking. And don't get me wrong, I love the look of the Garmur. I actually prefer it over the Rifter. My thinking is, if that extremely well-done model didn't get kickstarted, I'm not sure anything EVE related would.

Aside from perhaps yet another Nyx model, lol.Roll

The reason for it is that even though its Eve it might sell more simply because it does look like a fighter jet anyways and kids or adults might not care that it is an Eve product, something they might not do with our beloved rifter. And yes I heartily agree with the rifter for us Eve players. But this is more about Eve as a whole shared with the world than what us "hardcores" think about our game. To get it out there would be enough to get a bit more traction imo which is why it might be worth another push especially with the Alpha clone initiative.

Navy comet is cooler looking than both in my opinion. I was actually looking to make an 3 foot aluminum model of the Comet with some aluminum printing plates I acquired but I ran into some difficulties and shelved the project for now. I need a cnc router to really make the project perfect. Think paper-craft with aluminum sheets. The EvE Player to model ship relationship should be more like the Jedi to light saber relationship. You build your own. =)

If your curious you should do some searching of the old forums for Tristan paper-craft model someone a few years ago made a really cool one.
