Hi, forum people.

I just had four Omega accts lapse with long skills training. I can't log into the game for a few days so here's what I'm wondering.

If you have an Omega skill training when your acct reverts to Alpha, does it keep training until the skill finishes? Or does the queue pause? EB says they're still training but it's not really reliable for stuff like that.

I had my account drop to Alpha a couple of weeks ago. My skill queue grinded to an halt and would not start until I had only Alpha skills and less that 24 hours worth of them queued.

There was a time when you could let your acct close entirely and that Titan 5 skill would just keep on training. So while it seems logical that the skill would stop training, CCP has been known to do weird things before when it comes to that stuff..

Whoa, an Epeen alpha question!

One way around it is to list a long alpha skill, like gunnery V which on one alt I have takes 9 days.

Indeed, IIRC up until the introduction of Alpha's, your skills continued training for a few days when your sub expired, before stopping.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Actually the queue can be longer than 24 hours on alpha (or you would be unable to train thins like cruiser 4), but you can't add new skills until the queue is shorter than 24 hours.

As Yarosara said, your queue stop working until you remove all the non alpha skills and you have only i skill breaching the 24 hours limit. it should start before the limit, but it can be as long as the longest skill that you can train.

In any case, I'll know for sure in a few hours.

I finally crammed a full X99 based, water cooled gaming system into my little Fractal Node 804 Micro ATX case. I only had to rebuild it about a dozen times to make everything fit. Just running it in for now while I'm setting everything up. Temps look good and the thing is just cute as a button.

I should take some pictures of it while it's still dust and fingerprint free.
