The future in our stars

There's a feeling I get each and every time I stand under stars.

It's a wondering, a longing.

If EVE Online could capture that feeling, the future would brighten.

I understand that CCP is keen on gritty selfishness as the atmosphere for space, but I dunno.

CCP is keen on FREEDOM as the atmosphere, they don't make anyone do anything.

The experience of playing EVE for the last almost 10 years has taught me that some people can't handle the reality of other people being free to do as they please...

Can't blame people for disliking space anarchy when they would rather have space communism or space socialism.

If you really really want to experience that space feeling, you could stand in a complete vacuum with the thermostat set to one, maybe two degrees kelvin.

EVE at it's core is freedom from rules and to me that sounds alot like anarchy. However just as IRL anarchy doesn´t really suit the human mind and that's why most players will join up with others either to protect their freedom to do what they want or to enforce their will upon others.

To the OP I don´t agree on that CCP promtes selfishness in EVE, if anything being overly selfish/greedy will more often then not lead to problems for a player in game. Making EVE 'brighter' would be detrimental to the game and go against both it's Lore and what have made it a success in the first place.

Finally I would advice to look on other Space games becuase there are LOADS of good games that sounds just like what you would like.

For a short moment you shine like a star when you go boom.

Remove standings and insurance.

Have you tried living in a WH OP? That captures the sense of mystery that you may be looking for. You never know where your connections will take you or what you might find.

This post brought to you by CCP's alpha forum alt initiative. Playing the eve forums has never come cheaper.

You've all been trolled, this is what a Gaelic Football player said to an umpire last week after a slight head injury.

Goggles. Making me look good. Making you look good.

Yes you can. If this isn't the game you want, you don't play it. Not that hard to figure out. If you want something that doesn't exist, you make it yourself.

I hate it when I am just flying around and some random star decided to have a seizure around my ship and I think someone is firing missiles at me.

Shocked
