I am facing a choice with regard to this mission and it is not clear to me what would be my best choice as I understand that I cannot change my mind afterwards.

So could anyone please explain what the consequences of my decision will be and thus help me to decide which mission to choose. I have looked on the internet but it is not clear what will happen to my future after deciding one way or another.

Both put you back on the chain, it isn't a life/death choice here, that is at the end of the chain. This will give you a minor boost for Galente or Caldari depending on choice.

Regardless you go back on the line for mission 25.

I did this arc a few days ago.

Took bag of blood.

Mission 27. LEARN KITING BEFORE MISSION!

Mission 47. Ask for help in Local. Team up.

Mission 49. Ask for help in Local. Team up.

Rest is easy.

If you always stay ready you don't have to get ready.

About teaming up.

I was stunned how friendly and helpful players can be.

Mission 47 a noob tagged along (we had to google team-play)

Mission 49 a real veteran brought his battleship along. He pinned
down Dragan so I could pop him with ease.

If you always stay ready you don't have to get ready.

Dagan is one of those things that just about everybody goes, "Oh yeah, I remember how much that sucked. One sec man, let me get my gun to come help."

Tracking the Queen is easily blitzed without firing a shot. If you're simply running the arc for standing and want to complete it as fast as possible, that's the choice. Be sure to fit an afterburner - the objective in the first mission is a fair distance from the warp-in. There is no need to destroy anything if you don't want to.

I tend to be lazy and go tracking rather than scanning.

The only decision in the arc that matters comes later, when you chose which player faction you want to champion. Whichever faction you choose will give you a LARGE standing increase without any standing loss.

Since I often run missions for Caldari & Amarr, my Gallente & Minmatar standing drops. To raise my Gallente standing, I work for Sisters of EvE. To raise my Minmatar standing, I do the arc for them, repeatable every 3 months.

I cannot find kiting in skills queue, how do I go about training for it?

EDIT I now know that kiting is not a skill but rather an attacking technique where you keep the enemy at a distance.

Dont know what happened. No post intended.

kiting

There are several combat ranges in EVE, based not only on gun ranges, but also on the range of several important PVP modules (warp scramblers, for example). Jester has a good pvp tutorial on his blog site that discusses them, among other PVP specifics.

But ships aren't stationary, so although RANGE / distance are discussed, combat is about movement of ships. Nobody stands still. So, kiting, approaching, orbiting, spiraling, anchoring, aligning, these are all part of various tactics.

Kiting is somewhat self-explanatory if you think of dragging a kite along so it floats behind you.

I grew-up a missile user, so kiting is the bread-and-butter of using that weapon system. Blink

Hello Kestrel

If you want to challenge yourself and test your kiting skills, try completing the level 2 mission, Mission Of Mercy using a T1 destroyer fitted with long-range weapons. It is somewhat suicidal, so don't be surprised if you have to warp-out, or get destroyed. However, it is a real test of kiting skills.

I did it in an artillery Thrasher. Bear

However, I've also lost a non-kiting AutoCannon Rupture cruiser to it Ugh
