Sooooo, Alpha to Omega

Here's the thing:
I click the launcher button to go Omega
I arrive at the page where multi month subs are sold: 'oh hey, they've added stuff and give a decent extra multimonth discount to Alpha's going Omega. How kind!'.
I quickly check the rules to see if there are any special exclusions for 10+ year players (ok ok, 8,5 years actively) who've been away for a while;


This offer is only valid for Alpha accounts.
1 month equals 30 days of game time.
Benefits and promotional items will be awarded upon next login.
This offer may not be combined with other offers or promotions.
Promotional items have no redeemable cash value, and are subject to change.
Promotional items are not permanent and may be lost or destroyed during online gameplay.

Aaaaaand; Too bad sucker! I feed you the normal page for subscriptions where you dont get any bonus items and no additional discount!

Am i not an Alpha? Check skills and fly-fittable stuff; Nope, i'm Alpha allright!
Then why am i not given the offering i saw before logging in to the subsciption page?

Please CCP, elaborate as i am puzzled by this, dare i say, unfriendly 'welcome back you fool'?

EDIT with solution:
Apparantly you NEED to click the button Upgrade to Omega on the offer page instead of logging in...that takes you to a payment page directly.

I wouldn't advise going Omega until you can't do anything else as an Alpha. Once it becomes a roadblock and you can't continue to do what you like any better without upgrading, you upgrade. Heck, wait until you can buy a PLEX to kick it off!

The guy literally just said he played 8 1/2 years actively. I highly doubt he hasnt been training.

That is a one time deal for your first sub. I don't know if there have been better deals in the past but it is the best deal you can get at the moment.

Lmao OP, I made the same mistake and forgot to use the upgrade button. Oh well. I'm happy I can fly my shinier ships again. Time to do some stealth bomber roams again.....
