I just discovered this game last night and I was up until 3 am completely amazed with it. I've always loved space and this makes it so awesome!

That being said. I know this game has been out for many years. I really wanted to dive deep and explore, but is there even areas of the game that have been undiscovered? Will I be the first to see anything if I spend hours exploring the universe?

Ask all your New Player questions here:

https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=topics&f=257

But answering your question, no. All space in EVE is accounted for, and the only variance is how you can access it. There is an entire region of space that only CCP and GMs can access.

At release, this game had 5000 stars, interconnected by jump gates. A few years ago, CCP added another 2500 stars, interconnected by ever-shifting wormhole tunnels. Unfortunately, with 100,000 players or more, we've probably explored them all.

Exploration in this game consists of using probes to find "points of interest" that are otherwise hidden, within the available solar systems. Once you find them, you can take advantage of what's there, either with a combat ship or mining or gas harvesting or whatever.

there's new things every patch, so there's that. but general areas of the game where you'd be the first? Doubt it.

BUT...it's a game and it'll be new to you and that's the part that's awesome. Figure out what you want to try now. Pvp, business, industry, exploration, mining and go do it. Along the way you'll see something different that'll get your attention and you'll find your own path through eve.

This is EVE video

This is one of my favorite videos. It highlights on some different parts of the game but more so on pvp.

I've played for almost a decade and it's still great. I've made fortunes in the market, burned fortunes in ship losses, created 100b+ industrial infrastructure chains, built corporations, 1000's of pvp kills and a whole hell of a lot of good times.

I see. Okay thanks :)

Yea it's all new to me, I was just being hopeful I suppose!

I ran out so fast after the exploration tutorial that I got lost and couldn't figure out how to get back to an area with people or NPCs for quests, lol. I figured it out. So I guess I'll just run quests and go from there. Thank you for the replies

There are things in the game today that are still undiscovered that were developed years ago. Not so much areas of space, but things tied into the Lore that players haven't found yet.

The Lore of the game is also constantly developing, so new story lines emerge every now and then; creating a whole lot of activity in the community to discover and explain them.

On top of that, development is currently heading towards the creation of new areas of space that will provide opportunities to explore them as that develops (in the next 12-18 months hopefully, but we don't have a specific timeframe for that yet).

So overall, yes kind of, in answer to your question. Most players don't get involved in that play too much and it takes a fair bit of research.

Oh that's awesome! I love lore. Great I got my carrot on a stick. I needed it haha :) ty!

I'm not really interested all that much in the pvp aspect of the game. I really hope that later it's not forced onto me. The whole idea of exploring/mining and being a captain of a ship is the most appealing to me. This makes me so happy to hear.

I do understand that once I leave my area of space that concord protects me people can just shoot and kill me when ever they like? That actually seems exciting. Danger is there, element of surprise is there. I'm going to love this game.

We can only tell you about things that are known. Since most players aren't particularly interested in the lore the sites documented here haven't been visited by many: http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/EVE_Lore_-_Sites_of_New_Eden

CCP do add new stuff to the game - most recently, Thera, shattered wormholes and drifter hives, for players to discover. We really don't know if we've discovered everything unless CCP tells us.

It won't be easy and there are some people worth contacting to see who might be able to help you get involved in that aspect of the game.

Uriel Paradisi Anteovneucci ( https://evewho.com/pilot/Uriel+Paradisi+Anteovnuecci ) might be worth contacting as he's the best known Indiana Jones of Eve that I'm aware of.

As for not being interested in pvp, that's perfectly fine and all the best with it, just be aware that even if you are not interested in pvp, others are and they can bring it to you anywhere, anytime - even in highsec. If you don't want to be killed, then learning to survive should be a goal to aim for. Not being caught can be just as powerful a pvp tool as turrets on a ship.

Sure! If you find a planet without a player owned customs office orbiting it please let me know :)

Hello and welcome to Eve.

A lot of new players rush into larger hull class ships without actually being fully skilled which makes it very tough to survive. I suggest you take your time and mainly train up all your Core Fitting skills. Course don't forget to mix in ship and career skills as well.

There's definitely a lot of info about this game you'll need to learn, Google search and these forums will help you a lot. Also remember you can Right click on just about everything in this game to activate a pop up menu with various options available. The most important one is 'Show Info'.

Anyway, may you have a long and rewarding career here.

8-JYPM in Syndicate still has a few Interbus customs offices. There are probably plenty of other systems there with Interbus offices too, but I haven't looked all that hard. There'll be absolutely 0 income from that system though.
