Not only that, but they delete relevent on-topic posts. I noticed a half hour or so that one of mine had disappeared some 5m after I posted it. Perhaps somebody should get a handle on that.

Pisses me off, (only a very little bit), when people abuse things like this. If it was more important, I'd be all in a rage.. .RAAWWRRR!!!

Okay, it's just a forum and a game; but it's still wrong.

edit: Of course, we're all assuming it's the moderators, when it could really be a hacker or just a forum/database bug.

Just taking into consideration the problems with the servers for EVE Online yesterday, (last few days?), and some unusual lag with the forums around the same time.

My internet connection was absolute crap yeaterday though; so I actually can't confirm it was the forums at any specific point, and not my connection. Game stalled to, when I first logged in yesterday; just ended up with the loading screen, and no ability to bring up escape menu. Jita chat kept on though, if a bit slower than usual. Had to Task Manager my way out.

Of course, a real pro moderation system would allow the mods to 'exile' posts/threads instead of using the tactless tactic of deleting them. Meaning, the author can still see their post, but the post is invisible to everyone else. This leads the offending poster to believe that the rest of the community is ignoring them instead of tipping off the poster that for all practical purposes their post has been deleted.

Now that is something that should seriously be considered for these forums. It would be just perfect !

IBL Discussing moderation... but yeah - should be using locks and explanations, not out right deletion. How are people going to learn the boundaries if you censor wash the chain link fence?

I don't know. The stickies where they list the rules might be a good place to start. You might have noticed them before.

Then again, maybe not.

Ah - but that's just it - new sheriff's in town and they might endorse the rules differently. As a start - nuking posts they dislike.

Incarna - Newest business example of mismanaged capital. CCP - Continuing to gank independent PI producers every day

You’ve got to be kidding me. I’ve been further even more decided to use even go need to do look more as anyone can. Can you really be far even as decided half as much to use go wish for that? My guess is that when one really been far even as decided once to use even go want, it is then that he has really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like. It’s just common sense.
