Probably because they want people to actually subscribe to the game and not just play on plex. It's a more stable income for ccp

Either nobody wants Canadians mucking about (and really, who could blame them?) or relative currency values have changed since ETCs. Toss up.

How much is a sub for you?

Do the math? Why would you pay cash for PLEX when it's cheaper to just pay the subscription?

Or do you like wasting money?

Canadian currency is crap, have not used real money for subs for a long time due to a very weak Canadian Dollar.

Current exchange rate is that $1 Canadian will buy $0.74 US.

The ratio is thus, 1.35135135. Applying that $19.99 US is $27.01 Canadian...appears to be working as intended.

Sorry.

My guess is government intervention somewhere.

Does Canada have a VAT tax?

VAT screws up the price comparison between EU countries and the the US also.

Except the title specifically states as related to subs, not for ISK.

Yeah it was nice when our dollar was at parity for a while but since its in the toilet and theres a few calls for lower dollar rates the switch to anything else is nice. If it goes back to parity or closer then Ill rethink yearlies again.
