Try getting a true Gallente girl to smile and not look like a sour puss!! Sigh so bad. She CAN NOT smile or even look remotely happy. I refuse to make a character that looks like shes got a carrot shoved up her butt thanx. Jin- Mei is fine, even Intaki... but Gallente? sigh......

Have you heard anything I've said?

You said it's all circling the drain, the whole universe. Right?

That's right.

Had to end sometime.

He means incest. Lots of incest.

Amarr are homogenous. Nothing wrong with keeping your civilization pure.
Also remember reading somewhere they value age, so looking older is more attractive. Not sure how accurate that is but I like my amarr male, he's true amarr roleplay wise but I did cheat and use the nikunni model.
Looking at it now there's only 3-4 little things I might change a smidge if given a resculpt.

What really bothers me is how much the lighting and pose affect your 3d model. My actual head looks 100% difference from my portrait.
Also there are weird glitches with the colors. My hair is white and my beard is white. If you use certain lighting options the beard disappears entirely on one side of the face or is invisible (color 1) and it changes his hair color to blonde in color 4-6-7, the two to be colors blue and red highlights in 2-3-5 are the best imo at retaining correct colors.
I wish I could have my hair stay one color, it looks okay if I make the beard blonde and use one of the glitched colors but then I look blonde instead of like an old man with white hair.

Also there needs to be more beard options. There's only one currently and it's too thin. The rest are all goatees and chinstraps and such. There's no thickness option to give his beard more definition and shape so it shows up in the wonky lighting.

I know it was overhauled and it's a massive improvement over the old one but its only half way there. It still needs a lot of work. The backgrounds are bad, poses and lighting are wonky and I miss being able to have the dark red light.
The drag and sculpt is quaint and all that but sliders give you more precision at knowing just how far you can take things and they don't explain a lot if the controls like how you can move them around or rotate the character model 90 degrees and the sculpting areas change to different effects. Example if you look straight and move the eyes up or down or left or right they just get different positions. If you rotate 90 degrees and click the same eye area you can control the depth of the eyes. Also works on the nose, brows, lips, chin, jowels and ears. I don't notice much of a chabgevon the jaw or lower cheeks. If there were sliders you would know exactly what's able to be changed.

I knew there's something hidden under those hoods.

Also, you can't whip slaves and look intimidating at it without a goatee. So goatee it is.

Goatees are fine, but there's lots of options for them. There's one beard option. Technically two if you found the chin strap.
I'm not asking for a big bushy hipster beard down to my chest. But it'd be nice if you could get a slightly fuller option with more definition.

It's because Amarrians value tradition, experience and wisdom.

Young Amarrians want to look older so they will be taken seriously.

lorewise, Amarrian society values wisdom and experience so its no surprise that the people in the higher ladders of society are around 40-50, even the capsuleers.

i seem to recall too that they have some customs around life extending augmentations, so many capsuleers or normal citizens must be going around 90+ years and still being in optimal conditions. in fact, i think the chronicles talked about some of those augmentations being basically family relics and signs of pride and authority.

how is that the emperor doesnt even use a "golden throne" is a mistery, guess it doesnt go with the teachings, unlike the Imperium of Man in 40K.

Fair enough, that doesn't look remotely anything like the characters I've been getting with randomise. Still would like to see if there's some possible variety with males, though.

Randomize never really gives good options with any race. The chargen requires a delicate touch to really make the most out of it, which the randomizer isn't really capable of.

As for males, I made this one once. It's still an older appearance, as you can't get around the age morphs, but I think it shows that not all TA have to look alike. The main reason most TA tend look the same that I've found is because most players enjoy going for the palpatine look with the hooded robes.

All that being said, I wish they would divorce the age morphers from the TA model and instead make it part of the actual age slider that every character can use. While you can't make amarr look that young, you also can't really make other races look old (this is the closest I've managed, on an Intaki). The age slider does this lame shader effect that looks very cheap (and only can be seen with specific lighting due to being a shader). It would be far better if it actually morphed the model for all races, so TA could look younger and other races could look older. While yes, Amarr do like to make themselves look older, wrinkles take quite a bit of actual aging to develop, so young TAs would still look mostly young.

Amarrians value age, so of course their social elite, the capsuleers, are for the most part, probably all in their 40s+ when they first become capsuleers.

Couldn´t agree more. I've always liked the Gallentean bloodlines but they all look young almost regardless of what you try to make. I haven´t really tried on this character but I've found it near impossible to go for an older look. I guess it may make sense lorewise if the Gallentean decadence means it's people attempt to halt aging much like modern day societies in our own world but it's still boring not to have an option.

I'd like it better if they kept the races and bloodlines distinct but have greater customization and a toggle in the options to bring back sliders or features options like different base noses or flatter ears, less pronounced cheeks that could then be further refined, you have your bloodline presets and then the other 2 bloodline presets. And a broader age slider. Say a scale of ten, amarr would start at 7 and gallente 2. You could make younger looking amarr or veteran gallente and such. Or cap them out. Gallery can't go above 7 but an art can't go below 3-4

Also I've said before id like more hair beard options and a color mixer as well. Portrait mode works out on a lot of colors and my white hair turns blond and my facial hair stays white. Doesn't make sense lighting wise.
