Looks like a decent fit for home system stuff. Not being nullified or cloaky makes it problematic travelling through bubbled systems. Then again if you go cloaky-interdicted then the DPS output is terrible.

It depends a lot on what you are going to do with it. The strength of a T3 cruiser (beyond its broken tanking abilities) is that you can totally and drastically change the ship by swapping subsystems.

HAMgu
JAMgu
Railgu

They are all useful things. If you're going to embrace the tengu, then buy a few extra subsystems and capitalize on it's real bonus - convertability.

As stated - you have a solid home defense / local area fit where you know you aren't going to be dealing with bubbles.

^^ If you nullifier it you lose the fuel catalyst bonus which is half of what makes the 100mn fit work.

I'm not saying its now terrible or unworkable but what really made the 100mn setup work was the old ganglinks and going all in with the Core X-Type prop mod and a pirate implant set (either crystals, snakes or nomads depending on your requirements and style) that fit looks about as solid as you are going to get short of spending a lot more ISK.

It might be worth playing with the rigs a bit especially looking at capacitor controls or smcs depending on how you fly a they look like having better cap setup in most cases even with one T1, one T2 compared to the shield ones but I'm using outdated fitting tools here so it might have changed.

EDIT: The safeguard rigs also have a signature penalty which isn't ideal.

Firslty, the 100mn tengu is pretty **** nowadays, unless you have full skirmish links. Secondly, hmls suck. Lastly, you need a cap booster (not to give you cap as such, but to survive getting neuted).

Thats the classic fit, navys go to 41km, javlin to 61 (and still outdamage hmls to that point). Skirmish links + mid or hg snakes and zors. 2 5% dps ones and the tn-905. (you can downgrade faction, swap the em war for a second web, a scram, a invul, or a guidance computer, you can also lose 1 range rig for a tanking rig if you really want to).

But its still better to just buy a rlml orthrus honestly.

Yeah, thx, that looks much better. Is the 100mn AB orthrus working? Is the orthrus viable with ab ?

Not really, i meant the 50mn normal one.

Pretty much no 100mn ship works well without links, at least no kiter. 100mn vaga and legion sort of do ok as brawlers.

Realistically though most people unless they are considerably experienced and skilled are just going to be kiting off killing tackle and if they are in neut range at all very dead. Might as well just fly something fast and good at killing tackle heh.

(And personally I suck at flying small fast stuff).

The tengu isnt that good at killing of tackle, and its not a kite gang while killing tackle sort of ship, it flat out kills the whole gang. And BS neuts, curses and similar are why you have a cap booster.
