Wow. This was an awful game.

Spent 2 days trying to like it. Most of that time I spent googling what the hell to choose, train, pick, do. Started first agent missions and spent most time again googling what, where, whom. Then somebody killed me for "suspect" bla. bla. No pointers to anomaly, nothing. Like being thrown into the amazonian jungle with a moped and they tell you to build a computer and e-mail them when you are finished.

Is there a point to this game? What are you supposed to do not getting killed by everyone?

If you always stay ready you don't have to get ready.

Not as far as you are concerned.

EVE is indifferent to you. If you want a game that holds your hand there are plenty of options, but this game isn't one them.

The point of the game is whatever you choose it to be.

Imo you did the right thing by googling things, bu maybe burned yourself out on too much of it. I do a ton of it myself, still to this day. Information/knowledge is power.

Some will disagree and say screw the googling and just learn through mistakes.

You went suspect and got popped.
Id say that too is a good thing. Shows you are experimenting and trying things out.

I recommend you decide on something you might like to do, and start doing exactly that whilst doing reading on just that.
Dont worry too much about how much isk it will earn you or if that choice will pan out later down the line.

With all you have learned in these 2 days you are just about over the hardest initial hump.
Dont underestimate how much further you are now already, than 2 days ago.

Im not rich, but Ill give you the benefit of the doubt and reimburse your loss plus some spending isk once Im at my PC and have checked your killboard.

If you choose to leave EVE anyways, I ask only that you send it back to me or donate it to another fellow noob of your choice before you leave.

Some people have played years and still google alot of stuff.
Your error might be that you tried to learn it all in 2 days?

Eve works best when you specialize in something, you cant do everything all the time.
Also, this game is not for everyone, if you dont like PVP, you will have a bad time heh.

I used to read on EVE for a week or two before doing the leap many years ago, came in with a lot of theory on how things worked PVE side, as in: Running missions, nulsec ratting and becoming a perfect miner (Perfect Miner guide).

Know what? I did those and became proficient, made friends and enjoyed it. Small things, get good at them.

Then when u get bored, do something else. Like PVP or exploration, etc.

Eve has the worst getting started learning curve out there, but it probably the most rewarding game once you get past that.
It takes most people several start/quit attempts to "get" Eve.
The reward when you get Eve is considerable.

Hey, we had it harder, we were thrown like into a space in rookie ships and not even "loot all" button.

There were no ORE mining frigates, instead you attacked the roids in a Navitas or an Exequror. Veldspar was 2 isk but the Hulk still at 200m.

BS were cheaper though.

Back when I started the game, the tutorial was "This is space. Go do stuff".

Now that was a learning curve.

And there were Hulkageddons, Gankers had a lot easier time destroying mining ships, and people liked it.

I think its in great deal about survival. Its like survival camp in space. If you give them directions "Inn this way" they will complain they had to read it.

Everyone
Versus
Everyone

If there is a way that you can be blown up, or your stuff stolen, someone will at some point attempt to do it. That is the nature of this game. If EVE has never pissed you off, you're either a Zen master or you've never undocked.

For some, being the hunter is fun. For others, being the hunted and escaping their foe is fun.

Now you've had your cherry popped and had a moment to realise that being blown up isn't actually all that bad (unless you're hauling PLEX, in which case you ought to feel bad, or you can't afford to replace your ship, in which case you shouldn't have been flying it) you can relax and take the time to work out where you fit into this universe.

That's exactly the point i liked about this game and the reason i stick with it. Some people like the challenge.

Most other games are too easy nowadays, no challenge at all.

But gaming is all about fun, so if you don't like it i wish you all the best and have fun with other games.

Really? 2 Days!

Did you complete the initial rookie training with Aura?

Did you then go out to the fleet at the Sleeper Hive, where you had to stay and loose your ship?

Did you even go to the Career agents as you were advised by Aura?

. . . and you completed that all in 2 days?

I've went thru the initial training 3 times with newly created Alphas. I felt CCP has done a pretty good job of setting rookies up to head out on their own. And there is no need to google for anything.

How about the rookie chat room?

There's plenty of us veterans, who are willing to help you new guys. I have helped many new players over the years.

If you got discouraged with EVE after what you just explained to us, then maybe EVE just isn't for you. It could and does get a lot worse.

Suck it up, dry your tears, take a deep breath, and try again. If you want help, I might be able to help. Want a ship? Need cash? How about some babes? (No, I guess I can't do babes.)

Well, I suppose some of us like a challenge like that.

But from your OP, it just seems you don't really enjoy sandbox gameplay and want a bit more handholding than eve provides. No shame in that, EvE is just not the MMO for you.
