Structure Killmails

Greetings my fellow capsuleers,

In the light of recent changes made to killmails, specifically pod killmails; i thought that i would share an idea that I've had for some time now.

You can now see on pod mails if your arch enemy had a full set of +5's, Lg Slaves, or nothing at all. Giving satisfaction to you of knowing how much you really destroyed and inconvenienced him.

I would like to see this same principal applied to all structure killmails. This would include Pos's, I-Hubs, Pos mods, etc.

Wouldn't it be awesome to see if you killed 5 billion worth of ships in a SMA? or blew up 10 billion worth of technicium in a silo?

Finding out that you just destroyed an I-hub with lvl 5 upgrades would just tickle me to death.

And ultimately, know for certain that your alliance did infact kill a baby titan in the making.

I firmly believe that eve needs this feature.

As always, input is always welcome.

Seems to me it's technically complicated to add ships/mods still in production to the km, since they are not items yet.

I'm sure they could pull the job(s) associated with the facility and translate those to what they are on the km.

Granted, I'm sure it would take some work writing the code to make it work.

However, CCP has written mechanics just as if not more complicated than this.

Bare contents such as materials, ammo, drones, modules etc would not be difficult.

As far as ships/products in production is concerned, you could go either way with it. Personally I would go with the materials and blueprint put in as this would be accurate to how much was invested to create said item. It takes into account play skills and ME, etc.

even just knowing that you've nailed a Titan BPO from a capital production facillity would be sweet.

No. It's not a ship, no one pilots it. Otherwise I should get kms for killing rats. Structure kms should be removed.Cool

I would normally ignore a troll like this.

But i just had to point out ..... You do get kms for killing rats. Ever check you wallet? or sec standing log? :P.

Granted its not the traditional "km" but its a record of a kill. Close enough for me.

Also, if your logic is only piloted/manned objects should be recorded/ killmails, suggesting that it takes no effort to kill a structure and lots of effort to kill a manned ship. Is ridiculous.

Yes it takes less "skill" but you still have to make the same amount of effort, the same amount of resources, the same amount of organization.

And to be honest a lot of "manned" ships are a lot easier to kill than a structure....... :P.

Indeed, POS hp grinding is a lot of work - like mining - for km.Big smile
