Hello,

I was a long time player who left the game quite a long time ago, probably around 2008/ 2009 just after the initial graphics upgrade with Trinity. As an older player over time the PvP and griefing that existed then really drove me away from the game. I fully understand that was/ is the core of EvE, as a truly sandbox MMO but it wore me out. I was reading that EvE now has some actual PvE content missions/ story arcs etc so I decided to check it out. Are there any websites or guides to where and how to start the new PvE content? I was given a link to the Blood Stained Stars story arc which I plan to look into as soon as I can come up with a build for my old Typhoon. ( is the Barghest a good ship to get if I like missiles for PvE? I have a few Navy class ships I can probably sell)

Is the Blood stained stars arc the 1st one I should do? Is there a progression to the PvE mission arcs I should follow? I know its kind of sacriledge in EvE but until I get into a corp and have a real feel for the game again, I have not desire to get ganked or harassed with PvP. I would like to re-learn the game with no stress or worry so I would like to try to follow any of the PvE story missions or arc or content that keeps me out of low sec space as much as possible.

I am an old man now and find EvE to be a beautiful game, and would like to try to get back into it but am not looking to be harassed, I hope people can understand that.

That said, any help or guidance would be appreciated in pointing me toward any resource or information on the PvE missions, where to start, and current ship builds. I am about 63 million SP, with a decent assortment of ships and gear, but from 2009 ish.

Thank you again.

if you have 63m sp, blood stained stars will be a walk in the park for you. its worth doing for faction standings and getting back in the swing of it, but really noobs in destroyers can run it- id take an assault frig, t3 destroyer or somethingelse with high warp speed

use eve survival for help in running missions, dont forget wormhole and ded sites too. incursions will build up your cash if you can fly a decent ship too

There's a website for epic arcs inlcuding Lvl and Security: http://eve-survival.org/wikka.php?wakka=MissionReportsEpicArc
Or try some Low-Level Missions first if you want to: http://eve-survival.org/wikka.php?wakka=MissionReports

Hello and welcome back to Eve.

I agree with most of what everyone else has posted. Your best guide for the Epic Arcs and regular missions is Eve-Survival.

Level 1 Sisters Of Eve Epic Arc = The Blood Stained Stars
High Security space. A Tech 1 and or Tech 2 Frigate / Destroyer is fine. Tech 1 or Tech 2 Cruiser will mow through it like a hot knife through warm butter.

Level 3 Pirate Epic Arcs = Angel Sound (Angel) / Smash And Grab (Guristas)
Null Security Space. Originally set up for Tech 2 Frigates (Interceptors). Main threat is other players in PvP fit ships. These Epic Arcs are for more advanced players.

Level 4 Empire Epic Arcs = Right To Rule (Amarr) / Penumbra (Caldari) / Syndication (Gallente) / Wildfire (Minmatar)
High Security & Low Security space. Tech 1 and or Tech 2 BattleCruiser / Command / Battleships with high level skills and good ship fits. Tech 3 Strategic Cruisers with Faction / Deadspace fits work great in these Epic Arcs.

I suggest making sure you have all Core Fitting skills as well as ship and support skills trained up before running the higher level Epic Arcs. Makes it much easier to do good ship fits as well as increase your ship stats. Definitely read the Eve-Survival Mission Reports and the comments posted at the bottom of each page for more intel on each mission.

May you have good luck and a rewarding career here in Eve this time around.
