Nice to know that I'm not the only one feeling it.

The new UI is like so much of --or maybe I should say: far too much of-- what they've been doing the last year or two:

Shiny!

New!

Flashy!!

Paw through all that shallow needless dross though, and you find:

Reduced functionality, increased UI lag, and waaaaaaaay too much screen-hogging :(

FFS CCP, stop fixing things that aren't broken. Shiny/flashy is not going to convince freeps to sub, that will be depth and a long-term place in the community, just like it always has been in EVE.

I too far prefered the old skill UI.

If I now just want to look at my skills to confirm a level etc, it's actually easier to check Eve-Board.

It needs some refining but it's overall a better system.

I've been gone for four years, so coming back to all these changes was really weird, but after a few days of reacquainting myself with how things work, I'm actually quite liking it. Things look cleaner, sleeker, they certainly seem to be more responsive, and overall a pleasant change from the old.
