WTF did you do to the skill tree? Seriously?

You took something that was perfectly easy to understand, that did not need ANY fixing and you ****** it up? I take a month off and come back to an empty skill queue and your implementation is not intuitive. It makes 0 sense.

I felt the same way at first but after a while I find this to be far superior to the endless scrolling from the previous UI. Much more usable, less hunting, everything you need is there at the fingertips with filters to enhance your search. Statistics show most users will reject new interface enhancements, even when they are far superior.

This. At first glance I was also like "What the **** is this ****?" But after 10 minutes I ended up doing a 180 degree turn once I realised I never have to scroll endlessly when applying skills. That is pretty much the main thing that I absolutely loathed with the old system and once that realisation came to me I was all sunshine and giggles...

I'm still somewhat MEH about it, because the sorting of the categories isn't alphabetical and doesn't quite make sense, but you can still find the "skill tree" in the market "browse categories" panel.

For sorting, I'd like to see the OPTION to sort the skill categories by:

- whatever CCP's schema is, let's call it "default"
- alphabetical
- primary/secondary attributes
- ship skills, weapon skills, support skills, industry skills, misc. skills

For the skills themselves, I'd like to see:

- show only alpha skills
- show only X races's skills (for ships and weapons)
- exclude capital ship skills (exclude capital module skills too)


EDIT: And also, there's enough width in the character sheet to show the skill point numbers in the queue, rather than in a pop-up.
