Don't accounts now just revert to alpha states instead of expiring? Why is CCP still sending me these spam e-mails?

The CSM gets in the way of CCP communicating properly with the players of this game.

After all we are not just players, we are customers.

Yes. So that you don't wonder why you are training at half-speed, and why you can no-longer pilot the ship you are in.

But why I shouldn't wonder when the e-mail I got from CCP nowhere mentions that information? The title and text is the same as it was pre-Ascencion. I don't mind CCP's spam as much as their laziness.

I would assume that its an overlooked issue with the Alphas as its quite small potatoes in that regard. Though yes I must admit it is annoying as I drop accounts and get inundated with mails but I think people like me are a small portion of the Eve population so I doubt its high on CCPs radar.

I'm sure the change will come eventually. Meanwhile nothing's changed. Your account (omega) is about to expire, you are being notified. Why all the bitching?

That's a good question I hadn't considered. What does happen to pilots who are undocked in unflyable ships when their account expires?

I think I have the right to be annoyed when CCP forgets to fix simple issues. It's sloppy and unprofessional even when the issue isn't something critical or particularly important, and it happened before (few examples - "prototype inferno module" text on modules released years after Inferno, re-used icons for new modules, forgetting to remove "extended downtime" message next day after expansion). Or perhaps I am expecting too much from a company that deleted people's boot.ini files?

Nothing, until they log off. They won't take away skills mid-fight. Once they relog as alpha they will still be able to warp around, but not much else.

That message is a sign for you to tripple check on your account if the auto-payment has been turned off. Even if you turned it off, then it's still worth to tripple check it.
