I just realized a big faux pas of the dev team.

Omage items one can use appear yellow, while restrictions appear blue.

This is like changing the colors of a traffic light from red to green and vice versa - WHY ?

Information is blue, even internationally, why can't omega items be bluish framed ... since it is INFORMATION!

WARNINGS, like 'don't have the requirement' should be (and were yellow/red - signal colors anyone?!) - I just took a bunch of drones with me and when trying to deploy in combat as a logi .... can't use them. But I checked before I undocked, no yellow or red markers for requirements. DUH!

I previously focused only on the stupidity of giving omega items a warning color like for becoming suspect. I wasn't even aware of the change in the info window. I can't find words to describe how %(%$/$/=)Ö_) this is. Seriously, someone needs to get reprimanded for this. This is a big nono.

TL,DR: Warnings in bland color and bland information in warning colors. Someone lost his/her mind.

Awesome patch! I had to set UI seech level to 0 now since I was about to force quit the game everytime I have hear that stupid voice.

At least put the previous voice as an option for those 99% of player base which does not like what you have did there....

For the 99% of PAYING player base.....

That.

Well, I am about to renew my sub (wasn't playing since summer) but I can't.
Some changes of current expansion (which were clearly stated numerous times) are too "raw" - will observe couple of days the situation.

P.S.: forgot to say thanks for removing OGB - really hope, CCP, you will handle this x-pansion mess in a most civilized way (umm.. rollback Aura? :)

Hi,

Thanks for the great job you are doing at CCP. I love many of the features you added in this last expansion, especially the fitting tool which is awesome =)

Yet, some UI design are in my opinion overly cumbersome :

- Skill queue does not show training time multiplier anymore. It is important info i would like to have back on the main window please.

- Omega status visual distinctions are everywhere (highlight on items, logo in ship tree, on info panels, etc.) Please add some way to disable these "adverts" when omega state is activated.

- Aura new voice is awful, or at least not my taste at all (and its volume is wrongly balanced by default). Can we please have the option to use the old one again ?

- Finally, it is very minor, but I think the skill queue would be read better if names were organized vertically :
1 4
2 5
3 6
instead of :
1 2
3 4
5 6

I hope someone from CCP will read this and give it a thought. They are not big changes and I genuinely believe it would improve the game playability comfort a lot.

Thanks, bb
Wonder

could not agree more with you - sadly no-one from the dev team seems interested in replying to this thread.

The new voice for warping is awful, it was sci-fi in previous, now it's a normal recorded voice, it turns me off everytime I warp.

For everyone upset about the new Aura voice, which, by the way, we have been bitching about on the Sisi feedback section for weeks, just play this to get your fix of the real Aura.

Here

The character sheet was fine as it was.

Did anyone ever express dissatisfaction with these elements? Change for change's sake.

Suggest using focus groups made up of players to run changes by before making them.

People who are stating '' it's a change and we must accept that'' are the kinda players that play eve online without sound or they simply need the presence of a real woman ( or at least her voice ) next to them. Eve first of all should be ( and is ) an immersive game. The voice of old Aura combined with the ambient of space and it's specific music, represents the perfect recipe for a awesome virtual sci fi experience. What new Aura does, is simply to wake up from all that, like an annoying girl friend with a stupid voice. Please bring back old Aura or at least give us an option to chose between old and new.

new aura voice is crap

Like, concerning the voice...

the old voice had a filter on it.
a filter that made it seem like an AI. so if they can do that, and they ABSOLUTELY need to keep the newly scripted lines for the NPE, then just add that filter to the NEW LINES and bring back the OLD ONES.

everyones happy.

Not even remotely. I happen to like the new voice and the speaking style. I totally love it. Please do not bring back that old tired-backgroundish-sounding voice. I have no use for it, and add more samples please!

I did not realize how much Aura's voice was part of my Eve experience...until you changed it.

Please Bring Back The Old UI Speech!

...or at least, let us choose between UI Voices.
That way you can keep your "improvement" in game, for those who like it. Cool

We all wish for that. But I guess all this feedback is futile. For the last couple of years, I have had to listen to "Below the Asteroids" on YouTube instead of on my jukebox... Sad

One thing that would make the Character Sheet better is if the "Have prerequisites for" tab only showed skills you could train, but which were not injected. This would better differentiate it from the "Can train now" tab.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

A choice is something that I would definitely look forward to. While the majority of the players wants the old Aura voice back, having an actual choice to switch between both would be a perfect solution to satisfy us and also the very few people who enjoy this garbage replacement, ugh. So yeah, CCP, at least give people a choice instead of forcing everyone to mute that new, annoying voice.

I created this in the "Player Features and Ideas Discussion" forum: Feature Request: User definable voice actor files

Old Aura, New Aura, or something else entirely, whatever the player wants; it's just client-side audio files.

Funny going back to the Citadel release general discussion, how many dev posts there were in the first 20 pages, compared to this release.

My first issue with the new tutorial is the civilian analyzer BPO. What's the point in a BPO for a civilian module? I don't see a point in it being a permanent blue print. My second issue may be a thing that has been passed on from the old system; that being the issue of the rookie ships. You can undock in your pod, go to a station you have no ships at and get a free rookie ship. Doing this over and over gives you unlimited rookie ships. You can then repackage and reassemble them over and over for unlimited civilian guns, mining lasers, and afterburners. The guns you can't do much with, but the afterburner and mining laser is a sellable item. I submitted a ticket on the issue and asked if I should report this as a bug for exploitation, but I haven't had a response yet. Seems to me that both of these issues should be addressed early on.
