Why can't Omegas have an Alpha account logged in at the same time?

I mean i totally understand restrictions towards multiple alphas at the same PC but if you are already paying 1 subscription why not let the player have an Alpha account logged in as well? Alpha accounts are extremely limited but they serve a purpose; to get us not bored when our Omega is training for 1 year to be able to do something.

And after a while i would prob get the Alpha into Omega as well as soon i knew more about the game.


CCP consider allowing Omega accounts to have 1 Alpha account to be played at the same time. Letting Omega players play an Alpha at the same time is much more attractive to start a second subscription, because we will get attached to the second account, than outright buying a second subscription.


I believe you guys are losing a lot of potential subscribed multiboxers. Let us get hooked into playing more than 1 account and our addiction will do the rest for you.

If I recall correctly, it was to prevent regular Omega players from feeling obliged to create, manage, and pilot a second screen at the same time.

If it's allowed, then most people will feel they *have* to, in order to keep a competitive edge. Whether it be scouting or otherwise.

If it's disallowed, then most people will continue on as they always have. That was their reasoning at the time and I have to say I agree fully with it.

Let's discuss overhauling the way we get intel in EvE.

The same was true for trial accounts. So why are you whining about Alpha? No one seemed to whine or care that you couldn't use a trial account alongside a subbed, either.

because a second free account has been shown to be a huge advantage if logged in with a paying account. Back when trials first came out, you could have both, and people used them to ordinate hot drops, cynos, scouting, ganking, scams, all kinds of things, as the char on the account were burnable.

After a few weeks of this, and community grabbing pitch forks, ccp went 'fine ok' and restricted them. When alphas were announced this was brougt back up, so ccp kept with it. You can do a lot with a free or an army of free accounts
