npc mining fleets

has anyone seen any yet? only reason i know about them is because someone in local shared a video. edit: found a venture group but am looking for them skiffs.

I attacked a venture today... I am glad i made it out alive. Unless real miners these guys dont **** around.

I saw and mined along side a 6 Retriever NPC mining fleet yesterday evening (Thukker). They were short cycling their lasers like they were full. That may be the reason that they didn't seem to doing too much damage to the belts ore content. After 2 hours a Mammoth showed up and emptied a Retriever or two. Serpentis rats ignored them of course.

no need to keep watching after the last skiff blows up. last 5 minutes are just cleanup of the rats that warped in.

Was mining out in Tintoh the other day in my Orca, testing out the mining drone yields. Mixed fleet of NPC retrievers, skiffs and Ventures. They were chewing through rocks at a rate of one rock per every three I mined out, and it seemed like they start one one end of the belt and mine every rock on their way through.

And then the Hilarity started.
A Drake and a Stratios warped in and started blasting.
I think they managed to get two, mebbe three of the retrievers down before everything warped off.

And then the Security forces arrived. (Not CONCORD)
MineDrill Corp doesn't screw around. 10 frigates with points and scrams landed. Followed by a Mix of 10-15 Cruisers/BattCruisers showed up and laid waste to them both in seconds. And then promptly warped off while I unloaded my salvage drones and went to work.

Yes. They have already completly mined out a belt in my current system and are not working on the next. If they continue like this, they will mine out the majority of belts (4 out of 6) in the system before downtime ... They are a bit too strong IMO.
