Gnosis for Alpha Clones?

Before I drop 82mil ISK in the Rens market, is an Alpha clone able to fly a Gnosis? When I hover over the Spaceship Command skill, it says that I require Omega Clone status in order to use it. Help?

I think they have the skills, but I don't think alphas can fly anythng bigger than a cruiser.

Yes they should be able to. It will be the only BC alphas can fly because of the skills. When I look at mine there is also no gold border so that means its a confirmed yes.

I just tried it, and an Alpha Clone state can fly a Gnosis.

Shop around - you can easily find a Gnosis in the low 70's https://www.eve-central.com/home/quicklook.html?typeid=3756

A couple of weeks ago they were selling in the 50's. A bit later this month CCP will be awarding 1 to every account that has been subscribed for the past 2 months and the price will drop again when they hit the market.

As a limited edition ship the Gnosis should be rare and expensive but CCP have added new supply a couple of times and may be planning to keep it as a permanent feature in the game. It makes sense with Alpha Clones - all races can fly it, all bonuses are role bonuses so no skills required.

Don't bother insuring it. Payout is based on material cost and the Gnosis BOM is 1 unit of Tritanium!

Keep in mind that every subscriber will be gifted one more Gnosis during the next weeks, so there will be supply for awhile. CCP is aware that this one is the top model (sizewise - and no, that does not mean it is the BEST ship in all situations, but the new players won't know and still want to have it) for all Alphas.
