NPE?

I've just reinstalled eve and was very interested to see the new NPE. I've started a new pilot but am just doing opportunities? No voice acting or story? Am I missing something as I thought that a new pilot had a story etc? Is it a bug or is it due to me downloading as I play or something?

Are you on a brand new account, or an existing account with a new character?
