Dev's I have a quick question. First thanks for keeping an outstanding game running. been playing for close to 13 years loved about 99.9% of it. The part i hate is losing expensive ass ships lol. but that comes with the territory. Anyways... My question is this. With the ships that use drones, when ever those players take an unexpected trip to reality, their drones automatically return to their drone bay. Is it possible to have the fighters used in carriers do the same on a disconnect?

Last night while playing eve, I experienced a closed socket. When I unexpectedly left the game my fighters were about 150km away from the ship. When I logged back on they were over 900KM away. after I selected return to ship, it took 5 min and a half dozen cycles on their afterburners to finally get back. In the meantime im a sitting duck. Please in a future update, make it so fighters are already with the ship in the event of a sudden disconnect. Thanks in advance.

When drones are at such a distance, they dont have time to return to a ship. CCP dont clone drones and removes those in space, they actuall;y have to return on their own, if they are too late, they are lost in space. As for fighters, have you tried losing conection while they are near you? Maybe its just range issue.

What I don't understand is why when Fighters warp with the carrier, how come they land 800km or more away from the carrier. Not sure if this is a bug or intended but sure is ridiculous in either case. It can take a serious amount of time sitting there clicking the MWD/MJD/AB on them just to get them to land. Makes the concept of Fighters warping with you utterly meaningless and unused feature.

Next time just warp to some far away point and then recall again. They will follow and warp right on top of you.

And yes, things like 'warped to X, left warp tunnel far away from X" happen almost every first warp after client relaunch. Reported bug like week or 2 ago.
