Ship for 4/10 and 5/10 Sansha DED

Hello,

can you tell me what a ship and fit will be good for 4/10 and 5/10 Sansha DEDs?

In my opinion Gila will be good, but I don't have any fit.

I've successfully run the 4/10 with little trouble in a PVP-fit Vagabond. It's far from the optimal ship, but it should give you an idea of what sort of ship you're looking at. I've run the 5/10 and 6/10 in a Sleipnir, though it was pve-fit with rat specific hardeners. For optimum efficiency, yeah, drone boats are probably the way to go, but that's not the only option.

There's a huge gap between 4/10s and 5/10s. The Gila will have no problem in 4/10s, nor will that Vagabond. However, the 5/10 really demands decent damage at 50km and a solid burst tank that can survive being webbed. The Gila -- I'm sure someone will come along and tell me it can work, and sure, it can -- just isn't ideal due to drone travel time. The Vagabond can't really do damage to anything you can't smell the sweat coming off of.

So what do you do?

Muninn and Legion come up here. Sleipnir with 720s would do. A Tengu can do it but meh. A particularly ballsy Stratios can manage which strongly implies that an Ishtar is fine.

But if you just want 4/10s, well, take your pick. Any or all of the above. Or a Confessor. Or a Vexor. Or whatever really. A Wolf should manage.

Very true, pretty much anything can do 4/10 , I did the Sansha one with a Ishkur with drones only and while it was slow it worked. Wolf no problem. T1 cruisers with a bit of kiting also no issue.

i have tried a Sleipner and I found that cap was a pain (unless you go Gistum) , bad tracking/Range and slow with an AB. it does have more DPS (160 which is a fair bit) for breaking the overseer in the 6/10 so that is a bonus.

just did 5\10 Sansha DED yesterday.

I used a bricked tank prophecy with 80% resists on bot damage types and constant running armor rep. but that's because I can't be bothered to fly to much around. I really needed that tank on last room as there were 3 web towers which I had to snipe with my sentry drones.

after those were down I kept distance out of the sentry tower range and sniped all ships with sentry drones.

imho a gila could do it with bit of speed tank and uber damage from drones BUT to be honest I wouldn't go into that place without long range weapon like sentry drones to take out the frigs and towers, the problem is the entire pocket aggros on warp in so you have to priorities stuff and without long range instant damage application you're in trouble.
