The default "GUI" if I can even call it that is clunky to say at least.

The Peoples and Places is so poorly aranged that I only use it for location deleting/renaming when I am trying to modify location in different sector than I am in. Otherwise im using right click into space which is also not perfect. So easy to move mouse outside of the subwindow that opens up or select different location that you wanted...

If we could add saved locations into overview and we would be allowed to see the selected location inside "Select Item" window then all these issues would be gone and it would be much user friendly.

Modding is fun. Please add more customization into EVE!

It's not part of the overview, but there's a option to display BM groups as a separate window by right-clicking on a BM folder and selecting "Open in window" or some such (should be the top option). It will even highlight BMs yellow if they are part of your route and green for when they are in the same system you are currently in. Best thing is that it still behaves much like the overview in that right-clicking on a BM in system gives you all the same options you would for things on the overview like "Dock" and "Jump" and "Warp to".

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

At some point you will figure out that you can right-click almost everything in the UI. When you have been here as long as we are, you may even use your asset list to navigate where you want to go.

Eve Minions is recruiting.

This is the law of ship progression!

thats not so bad workaround thanks, still would be nice if clicking on saved location bookmark would show up doable actions in the select item window

I take back. Its not suitable workaround for a feature I asked for.

It has many downsides:
- bookmark list is not refreshing when you add/remove one. Opening P&P is needed for this.
- windows like this doesn't stay open permanently unlike others, each time I relog this window is closed and I need to open P&P and then open group window again
- another disadvantage is that its a new window, yes I can stack it with overview but its then very unintuitive to switch between tab1 in overview window to personal locations and then to window to tab2 in overview window

Its at least something but its not powerful enough and the feature I proposed in OP would be still very usefull.

People and Places can be minimized as long as it's left on the Places tab and it will continue to update the open windows. Closing P&P or switching tabs disables the updating until it's reopened and placed back on Places tab.

Best I got. I agree it's kind of a pain in the ass to have to keep reopening them per sit down, but like Booty Mc Toothy said, CCP doesn't seem interested in adding BM's to overview. I remember seeing it stated by Devs as well, just cannot remember who either. You get use to it if you give it time to get the muscle memory down. I use it for undock safes since I cannot rely on the camera of all things to actually be my buddy for once and be facing the right direction when I leave station, and it's pretty useful for keeping some bail out points handy just in case things go **** up.

Confirming this, definitely can be done but was stated to be a decision not to.
Best solution is to keep people and places on the screen but collapsed up to minimize real estate.
It's what I do and it's paid off.

aye he said he was open to the idea but overall thought it would make maneuvering to easy. Keep in mind they also said adding a hot key for d-scan would make it to strong

I remember the "Loot All" button getting some controversy talk for the same reason as well back when it was proposed.

If something becomes "too easy" because of a convenience tweak, then the game itself has problems, not the tweak.

Having bookmarks on overview is logical and easier to access, and something that a high tech ship WOULD have.

The only people that a "click in space, select bookmark" favors is people that have higher FPS type coordination and reflexes, and this game is an MMO.

The slack in balance should be taken up by ships needing time to align or get into warp and locking times, not the fact that one player is faster in targeting a ship on the overview, while the other needs to fumble through menus to click his preferred safe spot.

This is like the argument that using Autopilot and landing on gates made it too easy to move through Hisec, when what should have instead been done was force ships to queue up at gates waiting for the gate jump, based on size and traffic.

The more traffic through a system, the longer the queues. This would also have basically made players try optional routes in order not to be stuck on gates for 20 minutes near a trade hub.

I apparently have no idea what I'm doing.
