Hey guys,

I decided to try out faction warfare and netted myself 20k+LP yesterday, so whilst I wait for my items to sell and gain some much needed ISK (given I'm at a measley 2m Lol) I was hoping I could get some tips and advice on things like where are the best places to farm LP are without too many interruptions, since my DPS output wouldn't even tickle a moth right now. Other general advice would be helpful too. I'm quite comfortable with the overview and use of dscan also.

Thanks in advance!

I'm pretty new to faction warfare too (and you can read about my efforts on my blog, if you enjoy that sort of thing), but I've found things like 'the best spot' are constantly shifting.

LP farmers are looking for quiet systems. You can find these systems by looking at your map and setting it to show the number of players killed in the last hour/day, or by the number of jumps. However, the longer the farmers use a system, the more attractive it becomes for hunters looking for fights. Eventually, you have so many people showing up, the farmers move elsewhere. And so on.

I'd recommend trying to get into your militia fleets. Your dps may not be great, but you can still be useful, and it gets you involved with your Eve community. It will also get you on some killmails, which is a nice bonus.

If you like reading about low sec piracy or wormhole pvp, you might enjoy my blog.

Thanks a lot!

Yeah, whenever I've seen more than one opposing militia player in local I move to the next system, I had one guy chase me through a couple of systems but I doubled back and finished an outpost I'd started xD hopefully my DPS will improve once I've trained up more gunnery skills.

I do have a question though, if a fellow militia aids you in capturing an outpost does the LP get shared or do you both get the same LP? 'Cos that would certainly put me of joining a fleet for farming.

It's split between everyone in range at the moment of capture. You have to decide if the extra help is worth it.

I'm greedy ^^

I asked since someone had the nerve to camp an outpost I was capturing in a hauler. I was half tempted to shoot him or tell him to stop being a lazy sod and put in some effort or sod off, since he was purple and not green but rats switched agro to him and he left.

Thanks for the answer though.

Aivonen droped to only 1755 kills in past 24 hours, you denfenetly want to use that small period of silence before the system will get hot again.

PS: Mara, it was meant as sarcasm. What you are really looking for is Iralaja or Teskanen.

I use http://evemaps.dotlan.net/map .

Set the map to "Jumps per hour" or "Jumps last 24 hours", choose a spot with the least number of jumps, and viola.

Generally, deadend and sidepocket systems will be the quietest.

Why not become a farmer of the plex farmers...in other words, come to the dark side!

The most reliable way to get LP via kills seems to be to camp outside of a trade hub station like Jita, Amarr or Dodixie. Others just setup gate camps along common routes in high security space. How you can do this while at war with that faction is a mystery to me, but apparently it's quite popular.

A lot of new players in FW seem to think that their side has a stronghold and that they are inside the green zone when they are in their home space.
