Can anyone suggest a really really fast ship and fit that I can just use for ferrying small items back and two to Jita etc. Size is not a concern, it just needs to make 20 jumps a bit more bearable :)

You can't do better than a Leopard if speed is the only consideration but, on the off chance you need to carry some cargo, I use this fit for speed runs in highsec:

Align/warp is 3.9 seconds, warp speed 12.6 AU/sec, EHP 25,155 in case you encounter someone who wants to play BR Roulette and you can carry 5738 M3 of cargo. Some of those numbers will vary depending on your skills/implants. This ship gets a lot of use!

Leopard is by far the fastest. Only problem is that it's prone to being suicide ganked simply because it's valuable on its own even without cargo. If you're concerned about this, a basic travel fit interceptor would likely be your best fit.

Dramiel with with 2x inertia stabs for insta warp and then 1 low + rigs for warp speedis nearly as fast as a leopard but wont die if sneezed on.

Or if your going to null use a ceptor...not as quick as the dram but that bubble immunity.
