Best Minmatar/Gallente Recon for solo ambusing people in LS Gauntlets?

So, with Gauntlets being so popular, I want to take advantage of this new PVP opportunity. Assuming that people running them in non-empty low sec will be dscanning regularly, it seems like either a covops cloak or dscan invisibility will be a big leg up. It's a little hard to say which is better I think. Cloaky recons have the advantage of being able to position themselves properly for tackle, but they don't lock as fast (right?) and they will be temporarily decloaked by the gate if the quarry is already in the second room.

I can fly both Gallente and Minmatar recons. There seem to be a lot of people running these sites in T3 destroyers and faction cruisers, with the occasional T1 or T2 cruiser. Which of the four available options would give me the widest engagement profile against this field if I was flying solo and give me the best chance of actually catching people? Suggested fit?

Lachesis is d-scan immune and has an extremely long point so you should be able to tackle people even if you land on grid and they are 40-50k away (more with a faction point). If you can maintain range you can also use damps to deny your target the ability to fight back. In addition since it doesn't have a cloak you don't need to worry about decloak delay.

The downside is that it has a pretty thin tank and the DPS isn't very impressive, so choose your targets wisely.

Is this fit terrible?

I'm assuming that I don't need much tank because if they're dealign damage to me for more than a couple of seconds I ****** up and am dying anyway?

I'd personally go with a buffer tank as the cap on the Lachesis is pretty weak.

My standard e-war fit has a 1600 plate II, Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II, Energized Explosive Membrane II and a DCU II in the lows. For this fit you'd have to downgrade the rails to dual 150mm, so that combined with the lack of damage mods will gimp your DPS.

The other option is to skip the e-war and make a shield tanked fit, maybe something like this:

[Lachesis, Unnamed loadout]
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Capacitor Flux Coil II

Adaptive Invulnerability Field II

In most cases though am I not in a situation where either they can't target me or I've lost already, regardless of the buffer fit?

Can the fit you posted solo a Svipul or Omen Navy Issue? Maybe I'm insane to think mine can?
