Sov and power projection for caps and supers

As we see buffs for caps left and right and we all know who is owning most of em it is time to buff power projection for sov holders!

- if you hold sov you should get more jump range on every ship able to use em
- if you hold sov you should have less fatique after jumping

As a sov holder you know your systems have scouted em well and implemented an infrastructure so you know best routes etc... blah blah... so you should get an advantage out of this.

NCPL (Necromonger of new Eden) will make EVE great again!

NO to all of this.

Because you own sov does not override the basic mechanics of ship operation and like it or not jump range and jump fatigue are a part of ship operation.

As you point out you already have the advantage of scouting your area, the advantage of knowing the quickest and best routes to take to get from where you are to where you need to be, and you have the advantage of your intel network set up in those areas. How much more advantage do you need?

If you and your corp mates are racking up your fatigue while out ratting or whatever it is you do when not fighting your neighbors that is your problem and the game does not need to be changed to compensate for your poor planning.

On the other hand if defending your territory is racking up the fatigue and preventing you from going out ratting or some other activity that you want to do then your problem is with your leaders. This goes back to that choices and consequences thing this game is all about and the game does not need to change to make it better for you.

If you are racking up lots of fatigue defending your home space then I suggest that you take this up with the leaders of your group or move on to another group. Constantly being at your fatigue limits because you are defending territory means you have A. terrible leaders, B. to much territory, C. not enough people to spread out the load. No matter which one or which combination is the truth simply does not matter the game does not need to change because you and your group cannot come to terms with it.

or....

they could have less blues so it doesn't take forever to leave the "home" area to actually find fights.

Sounds good.

As long as you also get a penalty to jump range when you're in someone else's sov space. NPC space, you get the default range.

What, did you think you were getting this for free?

capital ships were nerfed to hell because of the power projection they had, because alliance had hundreds of the things dropping on people so easily. after the nerf sov got smaller and more groups took up sov

I am willing to grant you 1 extra light year of range in exchange for no local in SOV null.

I am willing to grant you 1 additional light year of range in exchange for the removal of citadel space magic.
