CCP's Breast Cancer Awareness Event

Greetings fellow Capsuleers,

Introduction: I am a player from the US, 15 years or so ago an In-Law died of breast cancer, or the issues from it. More recently over the past 3 i have had a few (as in 4 or less) direct blood relations either have a lump removed or a breast removed because of Breast Cancer.

I started earlier this evening changing a plex over to aurum and purchasing a bundle. I gave the skiff's to friends and then decided to sell the rest.
My decision was refined by the market prices and contract prices I saw listed in the game, and wish to do more since the Aurum spent is to be re-converted or at the very least determined the real cash value by CCP and given to the organization named in their blog.

This Event is supposed to last until Nov 1st, and here is how I would like to assist and be assisted.

I will be buying Plex from the market to exchange for Aurum, and use that Aurum to purchase more of these Awareness Packages.

In jita at different times of the day/night I will post what skins I have for sale in local by contract only.
The prices will be close to parity of the exchange value between Aurum and Plex so that I may buy another Plex to continue this effort.
Most likely i will sell most under the contract or market sell orders since my goal is not really profit in game but to buy these Packages.
I would appreciate anyone seeing me in Jita local attempting to display my wares that are interested to convo me at that time, or at the very least give me nod.

I will not be selling my Primae skins however,
Instead for those that wish to I will give such skins (as long as I have supply of them) to anyone that wants to donate 100 million to me (by contract only) for the purpose of buying these packages, please use the description line to indicate this.
Without a said contract, I will not know why (or if you fail to use the description line) you are giving me ISK and will have to return it.

As to Capital ships, Bowhead/Orca/Rorqual I will also sell within parity to get another plex.
I will also giveaway 1 skin of choice of those 3 to anybody that donates 500 million or more ISK, also by contract.
Such high value donations will go directly to purchasing the Capital Ship Packages.

At the end of this CCP related event, i will post in my reserve block a list of those who strictly donated.
Also if i run out of awareness skins at/near the end of the event (Nov 1), i will contact a donor and negotiate 1 skin of another ship from my supply or purchase an appropriate one to give in the case of Capital ships.

I give contributions to Diabetes and Breast Cancer here at home, and I am actually glad CCP the company of my favorite online game has begun this type of campaign. We are all human, and I do so hope some of you will assist me in this my endeavor.

I'm disappointed in the lack of a pink Rifter.

A Minmatar warship is like a rusting Beetle with 500 horsepower Cardillac engines in the rear, armour plating bolted to chassis and a M2 Browning stuck on top.

There is something funny going on though.
THe skins aren't pink they are the color i'd refer to as orchid.
Which is funnily enough the colour for testicular cancer awareness, not breast cancer awareness.
Now here comes the question: Would CCP do a similar thing for testicular cancer or male breast cancer to the same degree or is only the mother important to the family? Straight

If they tried to do something along these lines for every type of cancer with an awareness month, we'd have a few hundred SKINs. Even if it were just for the "big" ones, we'd have a few dozen. I'm definitely not against the idea of having more colorful SKINs (Gallente direly need more than green on green and green on brown), but things would probably get out of hand.

If they were going to do something like that, it would probably be easier to get a couple sets of SKINs that were designated as "awareness" SKINs and leave them up year-round, donating the money from them to whichever big cause was going on that month, or as as sort of "PLEX for Good" style of donation to the Icelandic Red Cross when a big event hit.

maybe next year, CCP will have it planned for every ship model in the game so next time a Universal Skin will exist for this.

Just in case youre thinking about it, scamming someone using charity as a reason is a bannable offense.

You should come to Jita when I am doing this, you decide if it is a scam or not, because honestly sir i do not know whether or not to be insulted by this comment.

My prices are way under market so far for most things and i intend to keep them that way as long as i can since I only need ISK for PLEX to get Aurum to buy more of these skins. (noctis contracts have tanked so im at its bare minimum pricing already)

Update: 2nd plex from skin sales has been purchased and converted to Aurum.

Special Thanks to those who have made purchases for making my campaign a rounding success so far!!

Thumbs up to those out there buying the Aurum packages themselves if the number of Primae on contracts is any indicator.

Remember, If you do not want a Rosada skin donations are welcome and I shall try to accommodate any Donor with a more appropriate skin type. But I am still saving my Primae for those that may wish to have them.

I agree, nobody seems to pay attention to Male Cancer Charities, or promote Male Cancer Awareness.

I'm not knocking Breast Cancer Charities for Women, but male charities seem to take a back seat a lot of the time.

I'm pretty sure I've seen Prostrate Cancer described as the Silent Killer somewhere.
