Was only about 12 MB for me. I guess you've not updated in a while?

Seemed small to me. I didn't really pay it much attention as it took about a minute.

Patch was about 30MB in itself (what u see on launcher).

Then its the resource downloading while in game... which so far to me ammounts to 560MB.

Im on a limited data pack, so when I see stuff downloading (and fast) I worry. Normally, with normal patches, my 2gb hotspot lasts me 2 weeks, but Im closing on 500MB on the current one, and it keeps going unless I exit the game, so I worry even more.

Just including how much data in total a patch takes is not that hard to include, but I been asking for this for months and I never get it, so closest option was to ask others to see how much data they noticed the game eating after the patch (resources loading icon on top of the time).

I realize windows users wont be able to tell much about it, but us in linux we have a system tool that lets us know how much data is sending in and out, and this is what I basically use to monitor my internet connection. An official answer would be awesome, since they are the ones putting the patch out and all the changes..... but like I said before, I never get an answer, not even in FB.

In launcher settings do you have "download everything" ticked?

If you download everything it is close to 20GBs as I just checked my shared cache folder. So.... you might not want to check that.Ugh

Have you heard anything I've said?

You said it's all circling the drain, the whole universe. Right?

That's right.

Had to end sometime.

Thats very good to know, cause Im at 14.3GB :)

I usually keep it checked because rarely downloads more than 100-200MB, but when it does more like right now then I panic, thats why if CCP posted the complete patch size, I could easily plan (if worth it) and then buy additional plans, or just tick off that thing, which I will do now, thanks.

The patches themselves are not usually much by themselves unless CCP adds new stuff for the shared cache. That has gone from 13-20GBs since they started that in total size. Other than that if you uncheck it its supposed to only download on demand if you need it. So that should help you a bunch if youre on a limited plan.

Ironically cases like yours are why CCP don't want to include a complete patch size, because it's going to vary based on when you last updated, what settings you have, and the state of your game client. They probably don't want to promise one thing only to have it not be true for a large number of people, especially people on metered connections, and have someone sending threats to their legal department (substantive or not).

There are a bunch of graphics assets which are being preloaded for the November patch in some cases, some of which may already be in use, and if you use SISI also they are most certainly downloaded to the shared cache for SISI.
