Crimson Harvest Event Fittings

With the Crimson Harvest event coming up I was wondering if anyone found any proven ships/fittings to use for the event.

I'm currently thinking either a Cerberus or Zealot but not sure how much tank is required. YouTube videos I found were all using Battlecruisers but I felt they might be a bit bulky and slow.

If possible, I will be using my Legion. If I cannot enter with that ship, I am going to be using a Vexor Navy Issue.

Using a Curse for the same reasons. Woot.

Is 'rekt' a good thing or bad thing, I can never tell with popular culture these days

Um what do you mean it didn't make any sense?

Translation for old people: Take a rook so they don't see you in the site, then kill them when they come to run the site as you have the tactical advantage due to them not being able to see you, not to mention it's highly unlikely they will be fit to deal with PVP.

All combat recons have the bonus of not showing up on d-scan.

'Rekt' like most popular culture words can be either a good thing or a bad thing depending on the context and which side of said context you are on. (yes bumble i realize your comment was most likely satire)

Thanks for the feedback, has given me some thoughts.

Just to confirm these sites to appear in HighSec as well? As the shift towards PvP focus made me wonder if this was a Low/Null only site spawn.

They were last year. If fact, every event has been across all sectors of Eve so far: high, low, null, and wormhole even. No reason to suspect CCP will gate them behind location suddenly. Though, if I recall, there was another version of the event spawns specifically for null (maybe low too, can't remember that well) that dropped a bit better loot and had tougher spawns.

I'm just hoping they trick us up a little this time, maybe a couple NOS and tracking disruption on the BC or something. Just to spice it up a little like when they gave those Guristas cruisers thermal missiles.Twisted

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

I absolutely love my Navy Vexor, for this event and the previous Amaar event this ship has proven to be OP. Easily 1 shot pretty much all the ships except for the BC and BS spawn.

[Vexor Navy Issue- 708.1 DPS]
Drone Damage Amplifier II
Drone Damage Amplifier II
Drone Damage Amplifier II
Drone Damage Amplifier II
Medium Armor Repairer II
Energized Adaptive Membrane II

10MN Afterburner II
Medium Capacitor Booster II
Omnidirectional Tracking Link II
Omnidirectional Tracking Link II

Drone Link Augmentor II
250MM Railgun II (could probably fit 2 of these really only useful for extra dps on BS spawns otherwise the guns are useless really)

[Rigs]
Medium Dynamic fuel Valve II (I know this is kind of pointless on this build, this would only really help to run a larger AB and replace active tank mods with Drone Damage Amps and just Speed tank the sites)
Medium Processor Overclocking Unit II

Drones:
X2 Gecko
X2 Infiltrator II
X1 Acolyte II
Wormhole Walter
Kherub Angels

Agreed, VNI is always a solid choice.

However I've found a Sacrilege does the job well too and you get the benefit of using all 5 drone slots, depending on drone size and it's cap friendly with a good fit. Use a couple of precision scripts and a painter to help with frigates to help apply extra DPS.
